摘要： An occupant restraint apparatus includes a shoulder anchor and an occupant restraint belt. At least a portion of the occupant restraint belt that is positioned adjacent to the occupant's head is inflatable. The occupant restraint belt comes into contact with the top edge of the seat back even when the volume of the inflatable portion is reduced. A shoulder anchor is positioned behind a seat in the front-rear direction of a vehicle at substantially the same height or below the top edge of a seat back. Therefore, a shoulder belt section of an occupant restraint apparatus extending from the shoulder anchor along the front side of an occupant is in contact with the top edge of the seat back. Therefore, when the shoulder belt section is inflated, excess inflation of the shoulder belt section toward the seat back can be prevented.

摘要： An occupant restraint apparatus includes a shoulder anchor and an occupant restraint belt. At least a portion of the occupant restraint belt that is positioned adjacent to the occupant's head is inflatable. The occupant restraint belt comes into contact with the top edge of the seat back even when the volume of the inflatable portion is reduced. 摘要： An inflatable belt for use in a seat belt apparatus. The belt provides an increased inflation length without having to pass an inflatable bag through a belt guide. A seat belt apparatus may include the air belt which may include a webbing of which at least a part that comes into contact with an occupant is formed as a bag-like portion and the remaining part is formed as a single-band portion. The apparatus has a bag stored in the bag-like portion of the webbing in such a manner that the bag is folded along both the longitudinal direction thereof and the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction thereof. The air belt includes cover that covers the webbing. When a gas is injected into the bag the bag inflates to expand the webbing and to provide EA effect and occupant protection.

An air belt 2B comprises an envelope-like belt 10, which is folded into a band-like configuration, and a knit cover 12 made of woven fabric and surrounding the envelope-like belt 10. The inner surface of the knit cover 12 and the outer surface of the folded envelope-like belt 10 are bonded to each other by adhesive layers 11. Overlapped portions 12a of the knit cover 12 extending along the sides of the knit cover 12 are bonded by the adhesive layers 11. The knit cover 12 can be stretched in the width direction, but is hardly stretched in the longitudinal direction because it is processed by hot-drawing.
