摘要： An automated banking machine (10) includes a deposit accepting apparatus (44) which is capable of accepting and authenticating instruments, as well as accepting envelopes deposited into the machine by a user. A transport section (46) is operative to engage and transport deposited items selectively from an inlet (48) to an outlet (50). A deposit holding module (90) includes compartments (98, 106) which are operative to hold different types of deposits. The machine operates to selectively move a compartment into communication with the outlet based on the particular type of item being deposited. The depository apparatus is further operative to acquire image and magnetic profile data from deposited instruments, to manipulate the image and profile data and to analyze and resolve characters in selected areas thereof. The data from deposited instruments is used for determining if a user is authorized to conduct certain requested transactions at the machine.

This invention eliminates the need for use of an inner flange on the header using a collar that also acts as a rib, thereby providing a compact foot plus header tank arrangement with lower stress on the gasket mating surface of the header and tank. The present invention also provides a method for providing improved headering means for automotive heat exchangers with plastic tanks and headers.

摘要： An apparatus, system and method discourage theft of a media disc. The media disc has a central aperture and is retained within a media disc case by an inner spindle that extends through the central aperture. A pin is insertable through the inner spindle. A locking clutch is operable to engage the pin. When engaged, the locking clutch secures the media disc upon the inner spindle and prevents the media disc from being removed from the inner spindle. A liquid-dispensing container is positioned between the pin and the media disc such that when a force is exerted upon the media disc to attempt to remove the disc from the inner spindle when the locking clutch is engaged, the liquid-dispensing container releases a liquid which renders the media disc unreadable.

Advantageously, the flange comprises at least one expansion zone (80) in order to compensate for the longitudinal expansions thereof, while the transverse section of the flange in the expansion zone is essentially U shaped.

摘要： A security tag includes a tag body and a cooperating tack assembly having a tack head and an elongated pin extending from the tack head, with the pin being insertable into the tag body to secure an article therebetween. One or more electronic components and associated electrical circuits, including wireless communications modules and various types of sensors, are disposed in both the tack head and tag body. The tack head includes a battery and an energy harvesting circuit. The tack head pin has one or more discrete conductive segments which, when the pin is inserted into the tag body, electrically couple with electrical circuits disposed in the tag body, thus allowing the components in the tag body to be powered at least in part by the battery and/or the energy harvesting circuit disposed in the tack head. Methods for operating the tag to perform security functions are also disclosed.

The invention also relates to a heat exchanger comprising the collector plate (10).
