摘要: A plastic tubing having at least two layers for a fluid cooling system includes a first layer being formed from an ethylene tetrafluoroethylene or a fluorinated ethylene propylene based plastic material and configured as an internal lining formed of a fluorocarbon plastic material. Further, a second layer is configured as a sheathing to the first layer and formed from polyamide material. An adhesive layer may be disposed between the first and second layer and at least one other layer may be configured as an external sheathing of the plastic tubing formed from an elastomer based material.

摘要: A plurality of upper fins and a plurality of lower fins are each provided in an EGR passage so as to be adjacent to each other across a predetermined space in a direction perpendicular to an exhaust-gas flow direction. The upper fins and the lower fins are gradually narrowed in width toward their respective projection directions, so that both sides thereof in their width direction have inclined surfaces. A tilt angle of the inclined surfaces of the lower fins is made larger than a tilt angle of the inclined surfaces of the upper fins.

The base member includes a first member and a second member having first through holes and second through holes respectively. The support block is adapted to be received into a central cavity of the base member. The adjuster is coupled with the first member and has a central channel for receiving a fastener. The support block has an isolation assembly that includes a sleeve element and an isolation member. A first surface of the sleeve element is adapted to be in contacting relationship with the adjuster at a first end of the base member, and a second surface of the sleeve element is adapted to be in a contacting relationship with a first surface of the base member at a second end of the base member.

摘要: A charge-air cooler includes a reticulated foam element configured to provide a plurality of nonlinear flow paths for a relatively high-temperature first fluid. The charge-air cooler also includes a cooling passage element disposed one of proximate to and in direct contact with the reticulated foam element and configured to accept a relatively low-temperature second fluid. The charge-air cooler additionally includes a header element having a first connection configured to accept inflow of the second fluid to the cooling passage element and a second connection configured to facilitate outflow of the second fluid from the cooling passage element. Furthermore, the charge-air cooler includes a casing configured to house the reticulated foam element, the cooling passage element, and the header element. An internal combustion engine employing such a charge-air cooler is also disclosed.
