    摘要: A pollution controlled incinerator system comprises an elongated combustion products duct system having a series of spaced incineration station inlets positioned above ground level and a permanently installed pollution control apparatus. The branch combustion product duct from a remote station terminates at a more proximate station whereby when two or more portable incinerators are installed, the combustion products from the incinerator station further from the pollution control apparatus pass through the charge of the next proximate incinerator station in the series. The combined combustion products effluent from all of the incinerators or furnaces installed along the duct system is concentrated and directed to the permanently installed pollution control apparatus. The pollution control apparatus functions to clean and to cool the combustion products effluent and then to discharge the effluent to atmosphere.

    摘要: A flueless primary combustion chamber forms a part of a pollution control incineration system having an elongated duct having one or more inlets positioned at or near grade level. An upright standpipe removably covers an inlet opening to provide a polluted gas inlet to the duct from a location elevated above grade. The primary combustion chamber is constructed with a closed top and an open bottom which removably overfits the standpipe in a manner to allow combustible material to be burned within the shell and to direct the gases of combustion downwardly into the duct through the top of the standpipe.

    摘要: A pollution control incineration system comprises an elongated duct having one or more inlets positioned at or near grade level. An upright standpipe removably covers an inlet opening to provide a polluted gas inlet to the duct from a location elevated above grade. The duct terminates at its remote end in a combination flue and pollution control system which may include pollution control devices such as an afterburner chamber, a water spray cooling chamber, a baghouse and an induced draft fan. A portable, shell type primary combustion chamber removably overfits the standpipe to allow combustible material to be burned within the shell and to direct the gases of combustion downwardly into the duct through the top of the standpipe.

    摘要: A spray nozzle is disclosed including a valve body with a water inlet and outlet and a helical spray vane at the valve body outlet. A tapered plug carried by the valve stem, corresponding in shape to that of the interior of the helical spray vane, moves with the valve stem to decrease the area of the outlet and thereby reduce the discharge flow rate into the helical spray vane. At the same time, the tapered plug moves into the interior of the helical spray vane, causing a reduction in size of a passage formed between the tapered plug and the interior of the helical spray vane. This reduced passage size serves to maintain the velocity of the fluid as it is directed to the active surface of the helical spray vane, thereby substantially maintaining the size of particles produced by the helical spray vane.

    摘要: A recuperator-type heat recovery apparatus may have a configuration for passing hot waste gases through an elongate, extended cyclone-type circulation path within a constricted area effecting the flow of the gases against a heat transfer surface and providing an extended retention time for radiating and conducting heat into this heat transfer surface and concurrently for changing the velocity of the gases resulting in a separation or fallout of heavier particles of dust and other matter entrained in the gases; a controlled introduction of abrasive particles operates to clean away buildup of contamination and dust deposits from all surfaces within the apparatus, the spent abrasive particles and dirt separating from the gases and being recovered.
