    摘要: A rubber sleeve for a printing press, having an at least two-layer structure, is disclosed. The rubber sleeve has an inner layer formed as a carrier layer and an outer layer formed as a functional layer and used for the printing process, the carrier layer and the functional layer being a constituent part of a rubber blanket, which is shaped in the manner of a sleeve in order to form the rubber sleeve and is connected to itself in the region of mutually opposite joint faces of the carrier layer and the functional layer. At least the joint faces of the carrier layer being enlarged in such a way that the same absorb circumferential forces acting on the rubber sleeve.

    摘要: An ink transfer device which can be clamped on a rubber covered cylinder in a printing press includes a rubber blanket for transferring ink from a printing forme to a printing material, the blanket having a leading end and a trailing end which are separated by a non-ink transferring gap when the device is clamped on the cylinder; a carrier element fixed to the rubber blanket; and a pair of fixing elements for clamping the blanket on the cylinder, the fixing elements being positioned on the carrier adjacent to respective ends of the blanket. In order to minimize the non-ink transferring gap, the fixing elements and the carrier element are formed as separate subassemblies which are joined together.

    摘要: A printing unit cylinder and a sleeve for a printing unit cylinder is disclosed. The printing unit cylinder has an axial end section on the operator's side and a lateral surface having a plurality of openings through which compressed air can be passed so that a sleeve thereby widened can be pulled onto the lateral surface and pulled off of it over the axial end section. A noise reduction structure is provided on the axial end section for reducing the noises generated by compressed air emerging between the sleeve and the lateral surface. The noise reduction structure is equipped to support an inside circumferential surface of the sleeve on the axial end section over at least a portion of its circumference, so that vibrational excitation of the sleeve based on the escaping compressed air is prevented.

    摘要: A method for influencing lateral web spreading in a printing unit in a rotary printing press, the printing unit having first and second transfer cylinders contacting each other along a contact zone for receiving a web to be printed on therebetween and undergoing a deflection during operation, and at least one plate cylinder which is respectively settable against one of the first and second transfer cylinders for printing on at least one side of the web receivable in the contact zone. The method includes passing the web between the first and second transfer cylinders through the contact zone; and applying a bending moment to at least one of the first and second blanket cylinders counter to a direction of the deflection of the at least one of the first and second blanket cylinders to reduce the deflection, the bending moment being effected by a variable force applied to a cylinder axle of the at least one of the first and second blanket cylinders by a bending apparatus, so that a pressure in a center region of the contact zone along a length of the contact zone is increased thereby increasing the effective radius of at least one rubber blanket clamped onto one of the first and second transfer cylinders from the center region of the contact zone outward so that a concave velocity profile is produced on the web passing through the contact zone between the first and second transfer cylinders, the velocity at the outer sides of the concave velocity profile being greater than the velocity at the center of the velocity profile.
