摘要: A wheel suspension for a motor vehicle has a transverse control arm that can be attached to a vehicle body by way of bearings and a spring-elastic torsion bar assembly, and can be rotated about a longitudinal axis. The torsion bar assembly has a body spring that can be attached to the vehicle body with one end, and a transverse control arm spring that is attached to the transverse control arm with one end. The body spring and the transverse control arm spring are coupled with one another at their free ends. The transverse control arm spring and the body spring are coupled with one another by way of a setting element or a releasable connection, whereby the setting element or the releasable connection, respectively, allows rotation of the ends assigned to one another, for setting purposes.

摘要: A wheel suspension for a motor vehicle has a transverse control arm that can be attached to a vehicle body by way of bearings and can be rotated about a longitudinal axis, and a body spring configured as a torsion bar spring for absorbing rotational movements of the transverse control arm about the longitudinal axis. The body spring is disposed on the transverse control arm so as to rotate with it, with a first end. An electromechanical actuator for changing the angle of rotation of the body spring is disposed at a second end of the body spring. The wheel suspension has a damping element. The second end of the body spring is connected with a stress relief spring that is configured as a torsion bar spring, disposed coaxially with the body spring, and can be attached to the vehicle body.

The object is to allow the dashpot to shift continuously between the hard and soft phases, whereby the valve-adjustment intervals can be varied at intervals that are not unnecessarily short or even unattainable. At least one valve assembly is accordingly supplied with variable flow impedance by regulating valve.

摘要: An adjustable vibration damper is for a motor vehicle or the like. The vibration damper includes a cylinder containing a damping medium. A piston is disposed within the cylinder for movement of the damping medium. A valve device is connected to the cylinder for flow of the damping medium therethrough. The valve device has at least a first damping element and a second damping element. The first damping element includes a first compression valve assembly and a first decompression valve assembly. The second damping element includes a second compression valve assembly and a second decompression valve assembly. The first compression valve assembly, the first decompression valve assembly, the second compression valve assembly, and the second decompression valve assembly have respective damping characteristics. There is included switching apparatus for selectively switching to at least one of the first and the second damping elements to select the respective damping characteristics thereof.

摘要: Shock absorber for vehicles, in which there is a damping element, which has a work cylinder holding a damping medium and divided into two work chambers by a piston, whereby at least partly to control the damping force, an electromagnetically activated and axially moving valve body of a valve pressurizes a flow passage. A variable damping adjustment becomes possible, and by means of a variably controlled damping valve, any desired adjustable damping of the decompression and compression stage can be achieved. In addition, by varying the effective hydraulically-influenced functional surfaces of the valve body, the switching, frequency, closing and opening action of the valve body, designed as the armature of an electromagnet, can be influenced. A seat surface is oriented together with the end surface of the valve body, whereby at least a portion of the end surface of the valve body and of the valve seat are located at a distance from one another. Varying the effective hydraulically-influenced functional surfaces of the valve body, the switching, frequency, closing and opening action of the valve body, can be influenced. This configuration makes is possible to achieve a partial pressure reduction influencing the valve body in the area of the valve seat.

摘要: A vibration damping system for vehicles, with a damping element in a cylinder. The cylinder holds a damping medium and is divided into two chambers by a piston. A damping valve, located in a bypass, is connected parallel to the work cylinder. The damping valve variably controls damping to any desired damping in the decompression and compression stages of operation of the vibration damping system. The damping valve has an axially-movable, controllable valve being disposable in an opening. The controllable valve is connected in a series fluid flow relationship with at least one pressure-controlled, spring-loaded valve within the same valve body. The damping valve can be installed in numerous variations in vibration damping systems of vehicles.
