    摘要: Water-resistant silica-embedded textiles and methods for production of water-resistant silica-embedded textiles are disclosed. Initially, a silica colloidal solution including hydrophobic fumed silica nanoparticles is obtained. A polycarboxylic acid cross-linking agent and a hypophosphite catalyst are mixed in deionized water and the mixture of the polycarboxylic acid cross-linking agent and the hypophosphite catalyst is added to the silica colloidal solution to form a silica padding solution. Next, a textile is treated with the silica padding solution to form a silica-embedded textile. Finally, the silica-embedded textile is cured.

    摘要: Carbon nanotube embedded textiles and methods for production of carbon nanotube embedded textiles are disclosed. Initially, carbon nanotubes, a cationic surfactant, and distilled water are mixed to form a stabilized carbon nanotube mixture. A textile is then soaked in a solution of the stabilized carbon nanotube mixture and an electrolyte to form a carbon nanotube adsorbed textile. The carbon nanotube adsorbed textile is then dried. Next, the dried carbon nanotube adsorbed textile is treating in a solution of a crosslinking agent and a catalyst to form a carbon nanotube embedded textile. The carbon nanotube embedded textile is then dried.
