Abstract: Method and systems for dynamic current redistribution in electronic devices with external power storage devices are disclosed. The dynamic current redistribution system includes a set of policies for each state of the electronic device. Depending on a device state, the system identifies the policies to be put in place, and directs current according to the policies. The electronic device may be connected to an external power source in one state, an external battery device in another state, and may be connected to both in a third state.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for power delivery to an electronic device using multiple power management integrated circuits (PMICs) are described herein. The systems and techniques provide for two signal connections between each of the PMICs to sync transition signals on a first line and provide faults to interrupt operations on a second line. The PMICs are connected to an electronic device that commands power transitions for voltage rails from the PMICs with the commands received over I2C communication from the electronic device.

Abstract: Techniques are described for dynamically changing a power draw from a power source of a portable device based on an audio output of the portable device. In an example, the portable device determines that an audio signal to be output by the portable device is associated with an audio mode. The portable device sets a voltage of a power converter of the portable device to a voltage level based at least in part on the audio mode. An amount of power is supplied from a power source of the portable device to the power converter based at least in part on the voltage level. In addition, the portable device outputs the audio signal based at least in part on the amount of power.
