Abstract:
Treated fabric is described that exhibits good bond characteristics when embedded in a resin binder making it possible to obtain a laminated plaque having a finished uniform surface quality.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a textile reinforcement process for making laminated complexes, of the type constituted for the major part by fibers extending transversely with respect to the length of said reinforcement, said yarns being joined together by a loose binding warp, wherein:the transverse yarns are disposed on a bias with respect to the length of the binding warp, andsaid binding warp is based on yarns which are at least superficially thermo-fusible.
Abstract:
Composite textile material for the production of composite articles, consisting of a multilayer structure, the various layers being joined together by needling. It is characterized in that it comprises at least two woven layers:one of which is based on yarns with high mechanical performance (for example aramid);and the other of which is based on yarns of another kind and more particularly continuous filament glass yarns, the two woven layers being bound together by needling so that a minor part of the high mechanical performance fibres is implanted within the woven glass yarn structure.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a novel type of textile reinforcement adapted to be used for making laminated complexes, of the type constituted by at least one layer of reinforcing yarns. The yarns are bonded together by adhesion with binding yarns, disposed transversely, in a small proportion with respect to the reinforcing yarns.Reinforcing yarns are spaced apart from one another so as to form stable and undeformable holes of definite shape.Additional binding yarns are disposed on either side of each of the strips of reinforcing yarns.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a material which may be used as reinforcement for bituminous impermeable coverings of the type constituted by a non-woven fibrous lap. The material being characterized in that the lap is formed by a complex comprising an intermediate layer constituted by a non-woven fabric of polyester. The non-woven fabric serving as a support for glass fibers implanted in its thickness. The fibers project on each side of said support and are folded back thereon.
Abstract:
A fibrous structure including a carded web of fibers that have higher individual-fiber linear density and which exhibit a spring characteristic. The web is sprayed with glass fibers or continuous glass filaments that randomly spread out flat on the web, and the web is subsequently needle-punched through a surface thereof to drive the glass fiber or glass filaments through the thickness of the web such that the glass fibers or glass filaments emerge through an opposite surface of the web.
Abstract:
A unidirectional textile reinforcement fabric for use in laminated articles and a method of making such fabric from conventional warp and weft fabric is shown in which the filament bundles in one of either warp or weft are substantially broken with little or no damage to the other.
Abstract:
A multilayer textile complex comprising:a first web of synthetic fibers selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyamide and polypropylene; anda second web of mineral fibers selected from the group consisting of glass and asbestos; and an inner reinforcing structure sandwiched between said first and second web; wherein said first and second web are connected to each other by a minor amount of the synthetic fibers of said first web implanted within the mineral fibers of said second web without protruding through an outside surface of said second web.
