The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for product optimization taking into consideration national and/or international anthropometric or socio-demographic population characteristics, wherein the country specific data (7) (anthropometric or socio-demographic population characteristics) are stored in a central storage device (2) and evaluation queries (10) of the users are carried out via a processor (1), wherein the evaluation queries can be entered via the processor (5) of the user from an arbitrary location by means of communication devices (3, 4) using the communication connection (6). User-specific data for evaluation by the processor (5) can additionally be entered. The results of the evaluation (11) are transmitted to the processor (5) of the user and made available there to the user.

A conveyor device for containers having a receiving rail for receiving a neck area of the containers, the containers being held by the receiving rail and are movable within this receiving rail. Guide mechanisms are provided with guide elements that are arranged beneath the receiving rail and guide the movement of the containers. The guide elements are movable in the longitudinal direction of the containers and the movements in the longitudinal direction of the containers of a plurality of different guide elements are mechanically linked to one another.

In a partial area of the air conveyor, means are provided to apply air to the bottle bodies. A roll sorter device has a first roll that can be driven rotatably about its roll axis and a second roll that can be driven rotatably about its roll axis opposite the rotation of the first roll. The second roll is arranged spaced from the first roll such that the roll axes of the first and second rolls are arranged substantially parallel to each other. The roll sorter device may include a detection device for detecting seized and/or faulty preforms on the first or second roll and a roll arrangement modification element to modify the arrangement of the first and second rolls to each other when the detection device detects seized preforms. A sorting method for sorting performs and a transport device may employ the aforementioned roll sorter device.

A device and a method for orienting objects, in particular preforms for the manufacture of plastic containers, where the preforms are handed over to the entry side of an orientation section via a feeding conveyor, and a discharge means is provided which returns non-oriented preforms via a return feeder. For a constructively simple and quick return, the discharge means is connected directly with the entry side of the orientation section via the return conveyor.
