    摘要: The present invention proposes a solution for providing packet-switched services to a user, even in case the user is accessibly only via a circuit-switched access. For this purpose it is proposed to force the user to report changes in the reachability status and to keep the user's registration alive in a packet-switched domain as long as the user is reachable. A packet-switched adapter located between the circuit-switched domain and a packet-switched domain aligns the registration status of the user in the packet-switched domain to the reachability status and performs a registration procedure depending on the outcome of the alignments. The registration procedure might be in detail either a registration or a re-registration or a de-registration procedure.

A Call Session Control Function (CSCF) in the IMS network stores an access domain indicator associated with a user s contact address. The access domain indicator is associated with the user s contact address when the user registers with the IMS network. The CSCF sends the access domain indicator to an Access Domain Selection (ADS) function in the IMS network, the access domain indicator to be used by the ADS function in selecting an access domain. This allows the ADS function to select the correct access domain to use when sending messages to the user device.

    摘要: A node in an IMS network receives circuit switched signalling relating to a communication session sent from a terminal over a circuit switched access network, and also receives packet switched signalling relating to the communication session sent from the terminal over a packet switched access network. The packet switched signalling comprises an identifier, and the node uses the identifier to correlate the circuit switched signalling with the packet switched signalling. This allows terminals using ICS to send signalling over both packet switched and circuit switched access networks, and a receiving node to correlate those signals.

The database server modifies (1103) a first data stored therein for a user according to a received request (1101), and sends a second message (1109) notifying the data modification to a first service server comprising: an identifier of the user, the first data after the modification, and an identifier of a second service server of the system that handle data related to the user. The first service server sends a third message (2105) to the second service server requesting to modify a data held therein in relationship with said user. Features of the invention help in reducing signaling in layered systems, since additional data are communicated in the second message.

    摘要: The application relates to SMS over LTE radio access. Several alternatives are already known, such as specified in 3GPP TS 24.247 which supports text messaging capabilities and 3GPP 23.204 which supports all existing SMS capabilities through SMS encapsulation in IP. Furthermore, 3GPP 23.272 which relates to SMS in CS fallback. A further technique is known as Generic Access Network which is under study in 3GPP 23.879 relating to CS domain services over evolved PS access and in Voice Over LTE VOLGA. The present application provides a solution for handling messages between legacy networks in the form of circuit-switched networks and IP network architecture in the form of an IP Multimedia Subsystem IMS while minimizing the efforts needed for system integration by maximal reuse of existing functionalities. This is achieved by an entity (100) which adapts messages received from the IMS (50) in such a way that the appear to a controller entity (200) providing conventional short message functionalities as if they have been received from a mobile terminal accessing a radio access network through a radio network interface of a circuit-switched network (40).

    摘要: The present invention proposes a solution for providing IMS services to users having circuit-switched controlled terminal being not adapted to provide IMS services to the users. In particular, it is proposed, in order to allow IMS to take the full call and service control, to place a user agent being responsible for the user ported to the IMS in a new node type called Mobile Access Gateway Control Function (MAGCF). This new node combines the logical functionality of a cellular switching center and the logical functionality of IMS. Further it is proposed to enhance a user's register, like HLR, to provide also information about the availability of a MAGCF node and about whether a particular user is enabled to use the MAGCF functionality.
