Abstract: Systems and methods related to partial beam correspondence may be used to address potential limitations of beamforming wireless networks. A user equipment electronic device and/or wireless network identifies a subset of available transmitter beams for the user equipment electronic device that are indicated as similar to a downlink reference signal received at the user equipment electronic device from a wireless network node. The user equipment electronic device sweeps the subset of available transmitter beams for communication with the wireless network node and uses a best beam from the sweep to communicate with the wireless network node.

Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with wireless circuitry and control circuitry. The wireless circuitry may include a phased antenna array. Sensors and other circuitry in the electronic device may generate sensor data such as accelerometer data, gyroscope data, magnetometer data, location data, and spatial ranging data. The wireless circuitry may establish and maintain one or more wireless links with external devices based on the sensor data as the device moves over time. For example, the wireless circuitry may perform physical layer beam adjustments, inter-radio access technology handovers, intra-radio access technology handovers, and/or dual connectivity adjustments based on the sensor data. This may allow the device to maintain one or more wireless links without having to sweep the signal beam of the phased antenna array over its entire field of view each time the device has moved.

Abstract: A circuit component may determine whether first signal indicative of at least one of the plurality of communication interface circuits accessing the FEM during a respective communication slot associated with the FEM has been received, determine a first Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) value for the respective communication slot used by the FEM based on data associated with the respective communication slot, and store the first RSSI value in response to the first signal not being received. The circuit component may then determine a first gain for a subsequent slot based on the first RSSI value and discard the first RSSI value in response to the first signal being received.

During operation of the user equipment electronic device, a change in slot aggregation is made. Using the aggregated slots, the user equipment electronic device and/or a wireless network utilize beam sweeps to determine a best beam pairing by repeating a shared channel in the aggregated slots with a beam sweep of multiple beams between the user equipment electronic device and the wireless network.

Abstract: Various embodiments are described for apparatuses, systems, and methods for pre-forwarding data packets for conditional handover. A UE may connect to a serving base station and perform measurement(s) of one or more neighboring base stations. The UE may provide measurement report(s) corresponding to the measurement(s) to the serving base station. The UE may receive handover assistance information from the serving base station. The handover assistance information may identify at least one neighboring base station that receives downlink packet forwarding of downlink packets intended for the UE prior to handover. The UE may evaluate handover conditions of the neighboring base stations, including the at least one neighboring base station. The UE may perform handover to a first neighboring base station of the at least one neighboring base station based on the at least one neighboring base station receiving downlink packet forwarding of downlink packets intended for the UE prior to handover.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for performing consecutive conditional handovers. A cellular base station may provide conditional handover information for multiple conditional handovers to a wireless device. The conditional handover information may include information for performing a conditional handover from a cell provided by the cellular base station to at least one cell, and information for performing a conditional handover from one or more of those cells to at least one cell. The wireless device may perform multiple consecutive conditional handovers using the conditional handover information.

A UE may select two or more performance values for a first communication link (e.g., an uplink, downlink, and/or sidelink communication link) selected from a plurality of communication links for performance monitoring of the first communication link. The performance values (e.g., such as an agreed performance value, a measured performance, and/or a predicted performance value) may be associated with one or more performance metrics configured for the performance monitoring. The UE may monitor the performance values for the first communication link for performance degradation and select, in response to detecting a performance degradation, a second communication link for performance comparison to the first communication link. The UE may trigger link changes (e.g., link switching and/or link aggregation) based on the performance comparison of the second communication link to the first communication link.
