Abstract: Provided is a projection display device for displaying a time period of one frame of stereo image as a first modulation period. The projection display device includes: a light source for emitting illumination light; a spatial light modulator for modulating the illumination light according to a plurality of frames of two-dimensional images corresponding to a stereo image to be displayed, and sequentially emitting, within the first modulation period, image light corresponding to the plurality of frames of the two-dimensional images; an angle deflection apparatus arranged in an emergent optical path of the image light and used for deflecting the image light corresponding to the plurality of frames of two-dimensional images to different angles for emission; and a projection screen for displaying the image light deflected by the angle deflection apparatus.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display device and a control method thereof. The control method of the display device comprises: obtaining, based on the first light output ratio and the second light output ratio, a first luminous flux set composed of values of luminous fluxes output by a combination path at a current bit depth, and a second luminous flux set composed of values of luminous fluxes output by the combination path at a target bit depth respectively; obtaining, based on the first luminous flux set and the second luminous flux set, a value of a luminous flux to be expanded to achieve the target bit depth at the current bit depth; and adjusting a mapping relationship between the value of each luminous flux to be expanded and a value of a maximum luminous flux in the first luminous flux set corresponding to the current bit depth based on a display bit depth of the display device.

Abstract: A projection display system includes a light source assembly, a wavelength adjusting assembly, and a modulation assembly. The light source assembly is configured to emit projected light. The wavelength adjusting assembly is disposed on an optical path of the projected light for adjusting spectrum of the projected light, and a ratio of luminous efficacy of adjusted projected light to luminous efficacy of monochromatic light corresponding to a dominant wavelength of the projected light is greater than a preset ratio, and color gamut of the adjusted projected light satisfies a preset color gamut coverage. The modulation assembly is disposed on a light exiting path of the wavelength adjusting assembly and configured to modulate light emitted by the wavelength adjusting assembly and output corresponding image light to form projection image.

Abstract: A system and method for dynamically adjusting a color gamut of a display system, and a display system are provided. The display system includes a light source system and an imaging system. The light source system includes an excitation light source and a narrow-spectrum primary-light source. The imaging system includes a spatial light modulation device and the system for dynamically adjusting the color gamut. The excitation light source emits excitation light which is processed to output at least one broad-spectrum primary light. The narrow-spectrum primary light source outputs narrow-spectrum primary light. The narrow-spectrum primary light and the broad-spectrum primary light are combined and then output to the imaging system. The brightness of light emitted by the excitation light source and the narrow-spectrum primary light source is adjusted.

Abstract: A projection system, comprising a first light source which is an array light source, the first light source being divided into a plurality of illumination areas, and each illumination area may be independently controllable so as to generate a first illumination light field of which the brightness and darkness may be modulated; a second light source comprises an illumination unit and a light steering unit; the light steering unit redistributes illumination light emitted from the illumination unit to generate a second illumination light field of which the brightness and darkness may be modulated, wherein the first and second illumination light fields overlap to generate a combined light field. Also provided is a projection display method. The goal of simultaneously increasing image peak value brightness and lowering image dark field brightness is achieved, and a projection system that has a high contrast ratio is thus obtained.
