The system includes an immersion mode, where the user is able to select a virtual avatar, which the user places somewhere in or adjacent a virtual workpiece. The view then displayed to the user may be that from the perspective of the avatar. The user is, in effect, immersed into the virtual content, and can view, experience, explore and interact with the workpiece in the virtual content on a life-size scale.
