Abstract: In the production of an organosilicon compound by addition of a silicon compound selected from the group consisting of a hydrogenosilane and a hydrogenosiloxane to an olefinically unsaturated organic compound in the presence of a catalytically active platinum compound, the improvement which comprises employing dicarbonyldichloroplatinum as the platinum compound.
