摘要: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a method for controlling Athetis lepigone, which comprises contacting Athetis lepigone with Cry1F protein. Aspects of the present invention can achieve control of Athetis lepigone by enabling plants to produce Cry1F protein in vivo, which can be lethal to Athetis lepigone. In still other instances, the method can control Athetis lepigone throughout the growth period of the plants and provide the plants with a full protection. Additionally, the method, in certain embodiments, can be one or more of stable, complete, simple, convenient, economical, pollution-free or residue-free.

摘要: Involved is a method for controlling the pest Sesamia inferens, comprising the step of contacting Sesamia inferens with Cry1B protein. Sesamia inferens is controlled by the Cry1B protein having pesticidal activity against Sesamia inferens, which is produced in the plants. Compared with the agricultural control, chemical control and biology control currently used in prior art, the present application can protect the whole plant during whole growth period from the harm of Sesamia inferen. Furthermore, it causes no pollution and no residue and provides a stable and thorough control effect. Also it is simple, convenient and economic.

摘要: The present invention relates to the use of a herbicide-tolerant protein, wherein the method for controlling weeds comprises applying a herbicide containing an effective dose of Sulfometuron-methyl to a plant growth environment where at least one transgenic plant is present, wherein the transgenic plant comprises a nucleotide sequence encoding a thifensulfuron hydrolase in its genome, and compared to other plants without the nucleotide sequence encoding the hydrolase, the transgenic plant has reduced plant damage and/or an increased plant yield. The present invention discloses for the first time that a thifensulfuron hydrolase can show a high tolerance to a Sulfometuron-methyl herbicide, plants containing a nucleotide sequence encoding the thifensulfuron hydrolase are strongly tolerant to the Sulfometuron-methyl herbicide and can at least tolerate 1-fold field concentration, and thus the hydrolase has broad application prospects in plants.

摘要: The present invention relates to the use of a herbicide-tolerant protein, wherein the method for controlling weeds comprises applying a herbicide containing an effective dose of tribenuron-methyl to a plant growth environment where at least one transgenic plant is present, wherein the transgenic plant comprises a nucleotide sequence encoding a thifensulfuron hydrolase in its genome, and compared to other plants without the nucleotide sequence encoding the hydrolase, the transgenic plant has reduced plant damage and/or an increased plant yield.
