摘要: Affinity constructs and affinity molecules to direct insecticidal toxins to insect specific structures of target insects are presented herein. The affinity constructs comprise of at least one affinity molecule that is capable of recognizing, or capable of binding to, or binding to, or being directed to, or being designed to bind to an insect-specific structure in and/or on a target insect, and at least one other affinity molecule capable of binding to, or binding to, or being directed to, or being designed to bind to an insecticidal protein (toxin) wherein the at least two affinity molecules are operably coupled. Presented herein are also methods of making and using these affinity constructs and affinity molecules.

摘要: A pesticidal protein class of PirA, PirB, and PirAB fusion proteins exhibiting toxic activity against Coleopteran, Lepidopteran, and Hemipteran pest species is disclosed. DNA constructs are provided which contain a recombinant nucleic acid sequence encoding the PirA, PirB, and PirAB fusion proteins. Transgenic plants, plant cells, seed, and plant parts resistant to Coleopteran, Lepidopteran, and Hemipteran infestation are provided which contain recombinant nucleic acid sequences encoding the PirA, PirB, and PirAB fusion proteins. Methods for detecting the presence of the recombinant nucleic acid sequences or the proteins of the present invention in a biological sample, and methods of controlling Coleopteran, Lepidopteran, and Hemipteran species pests using the PirA, PirB, and PirAB fusion proteins are also provided.

摘要: Pesticidal proteins are provided that combine two or more modes of action into a single molecule. These pesticidal proteins therefor exhibit greater efficacy and/or durability of resistance, for the purposes of pest control, and can be utilized for pest control by provision in the diet of a pest organism, or by topical application to crop plants and/or pests. Methods and compositions for producing and using such proteins are also provided.

摘要: Compositions having pesticidal activity and methods for their use are provided. Compositions include isolated and recombinant polypeptide sequences having pesticidal activity, recombinant and synthetic nucleic acid molecules encoding the pesticidal polypeptides, DNA constructs comprising the nucleic acid molecules, vectors comprising the nucleic acid molecules, host cells comprising the vectors, and antibodies to the pesticidal polypeptides. Nucleotide sequences encoding the polypeptides provided herein can be used in DNA constructs or expression cassettes for transformation and expression in organisms of interest, including microorganisms and plants. The compositions and methods provided herein are useful for production of organisms with enhanced pest resistance or tolerance. Transgenic plants and seeds comprising a nucleotide sequence that encodes a pesticidal protein of the invention are also provided. Such plants are resistant to insects and other pests. Methods are provided for producing the various polypeptides disclosed herein, and for using those polypeptides for controlling or killing a pest.

Methods for detecting the presence of the recombinant nucleic acid sequences or the proteins of the TIC4029 class in a biological sample, and methods of controlling Lepidopteran species pests using any of the TIC4029, TIC4029_1, and TIC4029_8 pesticidal proteins are also provided.

摘要: The subject invention relates in part to the surprising discovery that Cry1Da is active against corn earworm (CEW), Helicoverpa zea (Boddie). Methods for using Cry1Da in transgenic plants to prevent serious crop damage is described. Leaf and silk bioassays using transgenic maize expressing full length, core toxin region or chimeric Cry1Da demonstrated good insect protection against CEW larvae damage.
