    摘要: A total internal reflection (TIR) prism comprising a first prism, a second prism and an optical path compensation prism is provided. The first prism has a first light incident surface, a first light emitting surface and a total reflective surface. The second prism has a second light incident surface and a second light emitting surface. The total reflective surface of the first prism is connected to the second light incident surface of the second prism and an air gap is formed between the total reflective surface and the second light incident surface. The optical path compensation prism is disposed on the first light incident surface of the first prism or the second light emitting surface of the second prism. Besides, another TIR prism comprising a first prism and a second prism is also proposed. The first prism has a refractive index different from that of the second prism.

    摘要: An illumination system having a light source, an integration rod and a color wheel is provided. The light source is suitable for providing a light beam. The light integration rod and the color wheel are disposed on the transmission path of the light beam. The color wheel is disposed between the light source and the light integration rod. The light integration rod has a light input end adjacent to the color wheel and a light output end on the opposite side of the light input end. The light integration rod has two indentations at the light input end to form an airflow channel. The noise caused by the rotating color wheel is reduced through the airflow channel.

    摘要: A projection optical system includes a light source emitting light, a light valve with a surface in front of the light source, and a wedge prism disposed in the optical path from the light source to the light valve. By means of the wedge prism with different sectional thickness, the optical path and focus position of the light beam can be corrected. Therefore, the distortion produced by oblique incidence on to the light valve can be improved such that the light optical focus on the surface of the light valve to achieve the improvement of light spot on light valve and raise the uniformity, collection efficiency, and brightness.

    摘要: A projection apparatus includes at least one light source, a field lens, a light valve, and a projection lens. The light source provides an illumination beam. The field lens is disposed in a transmission path of the illumination beam including an effective beam passing through the field lens and a ghost beam reflected by the field lens. The effective beam forms a light spot on the light valve capable of converting the effective beam into an image beam. The projection lens is disposed in a transmission path of the image beam and a ghost beam path of the ghost beam. A center of the light spot does not overlap a center of the light valve. An offset direction from the light valve to an optical axis of the projection lens is the same as a direction from the center of the light valve to the center of the light spot.
