Abstract: A system and process are provided that allows a vehicle owner, such as a fleet vehicle company to remotely monitor mileage of its vehicles. This allows the fleet owner to provide timely preventative maintenance on the vehicle based on the vehicle's mileage. Additionally, the process uses the vehicles OBD II system to verify the mileage being reported by the driver in order to prevent fraud related to reporting incorrect mileage.
