摘要: Various embodiments are generally directed to biopsy devices, systems, and methods for tissue sample acquisition, such as during fine-needle aspiration. Several embodiments are particularly directed to biopsy devices with features to facilitate accessing, acquiring, and/or retaining one or more tissue samples from a target biopsy site. In one embodiment, for example, a biopsy device may include an elongate member having an insert disposed within a lumen of an elongate member. The insert may be configured to mate with a needle disposed in the lumen to maintain a rotational orientation of the needle. In another embodiment, a needle may include multiple openings for acquiring a tissue sample. In yet another embodiment a helical component may be disposed in a needle lumen to acquire and retain tissue samples.

摘要: This disclosure provides design, material, manufacturing method, and use alternatives for medical devices. An example medical device may include a medical device for delivery of a surgical closure member. The medical device includes an elongate tubular member having a proximal end, a distal end and a lumen extending therein. The elongate tubular member is adapted to be delivered through the working channel of an endoscope and the lumen is adapted to receive a surgical closure member. The medical device also includes a tissue support extending from the distal end of the elongate tubular member. The tissue support includes a support surface and the support surface is adapted to support tissue as a surgical closure member engages the tissue thereon.

摘要: A method of loading an expandable stent into a delivery device may include positioning a middle portion of the expandable stent in a collapsing fixture including a passage extending therethrough, radially compressing the middle portion of the expandable stent in the passage before any other portion of the expandable stent while a first end of the expandable stent is disposed outside of the passage, moving the collapsing fixture relative to the expandable stent, radially compressing the expandable stent from the middle portion toward the first end of the expandable stent, and inserting the first end of the expandable stent followed by the middle portion of the expandable stent into a distal end of an elongate outer sheath of the delivery device.

摘要: Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container enclosure systems that couple with a fluid container and enable different systems, such as endoscopic systems, to access the contents of the fluid container, such as via a tubing set. The enclosure systems are configured to fit a wide range of fluid container necks, ports, or other openings, including various opening dimensions and thread finishes. In one embodiment, an enclosure system may include a plug having a sleeve extending therefrom. The plug may be deformed manually or via a plunger system to reduce the outer dimension thereof to fit the plug in the neck of a fluid container. Once the plug is arranged within the neck, the sleeve may be folded down over an outer surface of the neck to form or reinforce a seal between the enclosure system and the neck of the fluid container. Other embodiments are described.
