摘要: The present disclosure relates to the field of tissue dissection. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to medical devices that lift and retract tissue during a dissection procedure to improve visualization of the target tissue and mitigate obstructions for dissection tools. In particular, the present disclosure relates to devices that transition from a constrained to an unconstrained bowed configuration to immobilize and retract the dissected portion of target tissue during a dissection procedure.

摘要: The present application relates to medical devices for establishing an anastomosis between body lumens. In one example, an elongate member is configured to move between a first configuration and a second configuration. The elongate member may comprise a first end, a second end, and a middle segment extending therebetween. In the second configuration, each of the first and second ends may bend towards a center plane of the middle segment in a bent back end and form one or more loops.

摘要: Devices, systems, and methods for drawing tissue walls together using a first tissue anchoring element and a second tissue anchoring element spaced apart from each other. The first tissue anchoring element is thinner than the second tissue anchoring element. The first tissue anchoring element may be a suture, optionally including a suture anchor. The second tissue anchoring element may be an expandable tissue anchoring element, such as a stent, expandable from a delivery configuration to a deployed configuration. The second tissue anchoring element may have a passage therethrough allowing passage of materials through the tissue walls, and creating an anastomosis therebetween.

摘要: A stent covering includes a polymeric tube having a first end, a second end and a length extending therebetween, the polymeric tube including an inner surface defining a lumen and an outer surface. A plurality of tissue ingrowth features are formed on the outer surface of the polymeric tube, at least some of the plurality of tissue ingrowth features including polymeric loops that extend above the outer surface such that, once implanted, tissue can grow between the outer surface and the polymeric loops. A stent may include such a stent covering.

摘要: A method for reducing mucus accumulation in an airway including disposing an implantable device within an airway, wherein the implantable device has a first end, a second end, and an inner surface defining a lumen extending from the first end to the second end; wherein at least a portion of the inner surface has a hydrophobic polymer coating thereon, wherein a polymer coating surface has dynamic water contact angles of 145 degrees or greater; and wherein the implantable device is constructed and arranged to maintain patency of the airway; wherein accumulation of mucus is reduced as compared to a similar implantable device without the hydrophobic portion of the inner surface. An implantable medical device having a superhydrophobic surface and a method of making an implantable medical device having a superhydrophobic surface are also provided. An implantable medical device having a micropatterned surface with enhanced adhesion to tissue, optionally in combination with other region(s) having a superhydrophobic surface and a method of making such a device. Methods and devices for prevention of bacterial adhesion to implanted medical devices.

摘要: Methods and devices for at least partially occluding an airway of a lung is disclosed. The method includes deploying a catheter into the airway such that a balloon at a distal end of the catheter is positioned proximate a tissue wall that defines the airway, and inflating the balloon to cause pressure to be applied on a portion of the tissue wall. The method may also include deflating the balloon to cause the portion of the tissue wall to be drawn radially inward to at least partially occlude the airway.

摘要: A medical stent may include a tubular support structure including a plurality of struts defining a plurality of cells disposed between the plurality of struts. A polymeric coating may be disposed over the tubular support structure such that a first portion of the plurality of cells are closed by the polymeric coating in a first region of the tubular support structure and a second portion of the plurality of cells in a second region of the tubular support structure remain open to fluid flow and/or tissue ingrowth therethrough. The struts in the first region of the tubular support structure and the struts in the second region of the tubular support structure may be at least partially covered by the polymeric coating.
