Abstract: A medical imaging device is disclosed. The medical imaging device includes an ultrasound transducer having an acoustic stack comprising an active surface opposite a backing surface, a magnetic tracking sensor assembly, and a layered circuit assembly electrically and mechanically coupled to the ultrasound transducer and the magnetic tracking sensor assembly. The magnetic tracking sensor assembly includes a coupling surface. The backing surface aligns with the coupling surface.
