摘要: Methods and systems are disclosed for providing guidance for operation of a localization insertion device based on ultrasonic imaging. Ultrasonic waves are emitted and detected by an ultrasonic transducer to generate image data. An introducer for placing a localization wire is identified within the generated image data. Based on the identification of the introducer, the methods and systems may determine a predicted location based at least in part on introducer properties and localization wire properties. The predicted location of the ring of the localization wire may be the predicated location of the localization wire when positioned subcutaneously with the localization insertion device. At least one indicator may be displayed indicating the determined predicted ring location.

An ultrasound probe, a portable terminal, and a diagnostic apparatus are wirelessly connected to each other, the ultrasound probe has a probe memory, the ultrasound probe acquires echo data, including echo information before becoming an ultrasound image, through transmission and reception of an ultrasound wave with respect to a subject and stores the acquired echo data in the probe memory, the portable terminal controls the ultrasound probe and the diagnostic apparatus such that the echo data stored in the probe memory is wirelessly transmitted from the ultrasound probe to the diagnostic apparatus, and the diagnostic apparatus performs ultrasound diagnosis based on the echo data wirelessly transmitted from the ultrasound probe.-

摘要: The present subject matter relates to techniques for passive acoustic mapping. The disclosed system can include a focused ultrasound (FUS) transducer, a diagnostic phase array transducer, and a processor. The diagnostic phase array transducer can be configured to receive a cavitation signal induced from cavitation. The processor can be configured to generate a cavitation map based on a spatio-temporal cavitation intensity. The spatio-temporal cavitation intensity can be calculated using a spatial-temporal parallel programming. The spatial-temporal parallel programming can be performed by creating a thread for each pixel of the spatial-temporal map, calculating the spatio-temporal cavitation intensity at a location and a time point in each thread, and creating a cavitation map by integrating the spatial-temporal cavitation intensity over temporal pixels.

摘要: A novel capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer (CMUT) array is provided and the CMUT array employs an additional electrically-addressable conductive shield that isolates each array element individually, hence the novel array is coined as Faraday Caged CMUT array. The state of this conductive shield corresponding to each array element can be set as floating for reduced parasitic and cross-coupling capacitance or grounded for reduced electrical crosstalk. Perpetual, reliable operation in floating state without the risk of catastrophic dielectric electric field breakdown event is enabled by the self-discharging mechanism through diamond emitters featuring high field emission efficiency and acting as lightning rods in a cavity. The lightning rod structure features a movable diamond membrane, which deflects towards the diamond emitter due to electrostatic force (acting as a charge-controlled capacitive device) closing the gap to facilitate the safe intermittent discharging.

The system further includes a processor circuit in communication with the acoustic elements. The processor circuit may be configured to receive data corresponding to a set of subframes based on the echoes. The set of subframes includes a first and second subframe. The processor circuit may be configured to coherently combine data corresponding to a first portion of the first subframe and data corresponding to a first portion of the second subframe, which may both include phase information. The processor circuit may be configured to generate an image based on the coherent combination of the first portion of the first subframe and the first portion of the second subframe and to output the generated image to a display in communication with the processor circuit.

摘要: Described herein are systems for 4D imaging of the lung based on live 2D ultrasound images. An ultrasound probe generates 2D image data of the lung during a plurality of breathing cycles. A computer is programmed and operable to group the 2D image data into subsets based on their point (or optionally phase) in the breathing cycle, and to reconstruct the 2D image data subsets into a 3D image volume based on the location information of the probe. Optionally, the 3D reconstructed image volume is displayed with target and route information. In embodiments, the computer is further operable to detect and track a surgical device in the lung such as an aspiration needle and to display the surgical device in the 3D reconstructed image volume for assisting the physician reach the target. Related methods are also described.

The elongate tubular handle is both not centered on the elongate tubular shaft and not shifted down in the sagittal plane away from the top.
