摘要： A method for ordered fault clearance visualization in a computer controlled print production device includes receiving data from the print production device operational sensors indicating a possible fault event. Fault analysis is performed to determine whether faults have occurred and to identify the location and type for each fault, based on the data and fault definitions. Identified faults are prioritized, with each fault assigned a unique priority and the order in which the faults are to be cleared is developed. A visualization of the print production device is presented on the graphical user interface, with graphical cues superimposed upon the visualization of the print production device to indicate the fault order, such that a single view presents all identified faults in the system and the fault order in which they should be cleared. The visualization is updated as each said fault is cleared until a no fault state is achieved.

摘要： A color printer control system comprising a user interface for shifting color hue. A control panel display includes an illustrative representation such as a color spectrum bar for suggesting a color range for both the input document and the output document. The user interface has a selective control such as a slide bar including an indicator of a user preference relative to the color reference bar. The position of the slide bar represents the hue shift input by the user. A dynamic image representation, such as a photograph, concurrently adjusts its hue in accordance with adjustment of the color slide bar and the user command. The dynamic image shifts color hue to provide a more accurate indication of the effects of hue shift to the user.

The services that can be included in a multi-service document distribution job include sending the documents as a facsimile, scanning the documents to a file or to a file repository, e-mailing the documents to an individual or other address, and/or printing the documents. Thumbnail images of one or more pages of the multi-destination and/or multi-service job can also be included on the confirmation sheet. In various exemplary embodiments, when elements of a multi-destination or multi-service job are not completed at the time the confirmation sheet is requested, the confirmation sheet can include various structures or information usable to obtain job status at a later time.

摘要： An improved cable crossover device for protecting electrical cables from damage. The device is modular in design and comprises modular sections coupled together by a strengthened interlocking system which allows for a variable length device. The main modular section comprises a solid body of elastomeric material comprising two opposed ramps. Each ramp comprises a bottom, generally horizontal surface and an inclined surface extending upwardly from the bottom surface at an angle. Each ramp merges with a central portion of the crossover device comprising a horizontal surface between which is located a plurality of U-shaped recesses, each recess comprising spaced vertical walls and a horizontal base wall therebetween. The electrical cables are positioned within the recesses, each recess being dimensioned so that more than one cable can be supported therein. A hinged lid of a width sufficient to cover each of the recesses is provided to both protect the cables from damage and to assume part of the load which passes over the crossover device, the non-hinged end of the lid being secured to the device by a Velcro system (i.e. loops or hooks).

摘要： A print media sheet tray control system for use with a printing system having a controller is provided. The control system includes a print media sheet tray which is configurable, through use of the controller, in a selected one of a first operational mode and a second operational mode. The configurable print media sheet tray is characterized by a print media attribute set having a selected state which can be either a first state or a second state. If the configurable print media sheet tray is configured in the first operational mode, then the controller prohibits printing system operation if the selected state has been altered from the first state to the second state. On the other hand, if the configurable print media sheet tray is configured in the second operational mode, then operation of the printing system is permitted provided the alteration was achieved pursuant to a preselected alteration process.
