    Abstract: A bowl holder including a base for supporting the device on a surface and a holder for receiving a bowl on top of the device. The base may include a plurality of support legs and a threaded aperture in the center of the base. The holder may include a threaded shaft which engages the threaded aperture in the base. The threaded shaft may be placed vertically so that rotating the holder causes it to raise or lower on the threads. The bowl holder is useful for supporting a bowl and adjustably raising the bowl's height above a table or countertop.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a colander serving bowl having an outer shell with an open bottom, a movable sealing plate with upwardly extending support arms that ride on inclined surfaces on the rim of the outer shell, and a perforated inner shell supported on the sealing place. The sealing plate is movable between a lowered sealing position where the plate seals the open bottom of the outer shell, and a raised draining position where the plate is spaced above the open bottom to allow draining through the open bottom. As the support arms are moved, the support surfaces of the arms move from the lower end to the upper end of the inclined surfaces of the rim, thus moving the sealing plate from the sealing position to the draining position.

    Abstract: Adjustable tongs include a slidably movable adjustment plate with a plurality of spaced notches that act in cooperation with a tab at the proximal end of the tong arm to selectively limit the spacing between the tong jaws. The notches are longitudinally spaced along the outer edges of the adjustment plate and become progressively deeper from one end of the plate to the other. An elongated longitudinal slot in the plate engages the pivot pin connecting the pair of arms which allows longitudinal movement of the plate to one of a number of selected positions where the tabs of the tong arms engage one of the sets of laterally aligned notches. Engagement of the tab with a selected one of the sets of notches allows a corresponding selected spacing between the jaws. The deeper the notch, the greater the allowed spacing between the jaws.
