摘要: A discrete solid orally deliverable pharmaceutical dosage form comprises a plurality of zones, wherein (a) at least one zone comprises an NSAID; (b) at least one zone, other than a zone comprising the NSAID, comprises HPMC having dispersed therein a prostaglandin type compound in a form of a substantially water-free solid dispersion; (c) the plurality of zones are spatially arranged such that, if there is only one NSAID-containing zone and one prostaglandin-containing zone, these zones are arranged other than as a core and mantle respectively separated by an enteric coating layer; and (d) the HPMC comprises a fraction having particle size smaller than about 53 μm, said fraction exhibiting, upon dissolution in C02-free purified water to form a 1% weight/volume solution, a pH not lower than about 4. An assay method is also provided for selecting suitable lots of HPMC for use in preparing such a dosage form.

摘要: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a granular detergent composition or component having a bulk density greater than 650 g/l which has greater ease and flexibility of processing. The process comprises the step of dispersing a liquid binder throughout a powder stream in a high speed mixer to form granular agglomerates, wherein the powder stream comprises a powder consisting essentially of crystalline zeolite A, P, X, or mixtures thereof, and crystalline zeolite HS. It is preferred that the ratio of zeolite A, P, X, or mixtures thereof, to crystalline zeolite HS is from 1:1 to 99:1, preferably from 3:1 to 20:1, and that the powder has an oil absorbing capacity of at least 40 ml/100 g, more preferably at least 45 ml/100 g, most preferably at least 50 ml/100 g.

摘要: A staged screen system for the removal of solids or floatables or any unwanted debris from a suspension or fluid flow. The system includes an apparatus which has a first screen, a second screen, and at least one moveable rake element. The first screen forms a first stage and is operatively attached to the second screen which forms a second stage, such that the moveable rake element is adapted to rake both screens. The rake element includes a wiping member adapted to wipe the upper surface of the second screen.

摘要: An apparatus for the separation of solids and liquids from a suspension has a hollow drum rotatably mounted about a horizontal axis. The drum wall is a screen made of a plurality of wires, preferably wedge-sectioned wires; spaced apart in a parallel arrangement and lying axially along the drum. Inlet means direct the suspension against the inner surface of the wall at an angle less than right angles, and preferably substantially tangentially to the inner surface, in a direction opposing the rotation of the drum. The separated solids remain within the drum and are extracted therefrom by suitable means.

摘要: A screen raking system having two or more rakes spaced along the length or height of the screen having longitudinal slots therein. The rakes are commonly displaceable along the length of the screen by a ram such as a single hydraulic, double acting, cylinder. The tines of each rake are displaceable between an extended position where they intedigertate with the bars of the screen, and a retracted position. The rakes are moved up and down the screen and the tines are extended and retracted so that solids deposited on the screen as a lower rake begins to descend are collected by a next-above rake as the latter begins to rise.

摘要: The invention relates to a semi-submergeable rotary screen for separating liquids and solids, in international class B01D 33/38. A substantially horizontal rotary screen comprises a drum formed of a plurality of spaced-apart circumferential wedge-wires and longitudinal supporting members, the supporting members being spaced longitudinally around the circumference of the drum separated by a distance of not less than 75 mm between adjacent supporting members. The circumferential wires are novel on a submerged screen and do not become blocked by fibres and neither will the longitudinal supporting members lead to blockages if sufficiently spaced. The supporting members may be fixed to the base sides of the wedge wires on the inside of the screen drum and preferably have a thickness measured radially of the drum of not less than 15 mm. Usual applications are for industrial waste recovery or separation.

摘要: A nozzle assembly (1) for use in a separation apparatus for separation of liquid suspensions the separation including such nozzle assembly, and a method for its use. In the nozzle assembly, the outlet end of the nozzle is biasable towards the inner surface of the rotatable screening drum (7) of the separation process, and a roller or pad is provided on the nozzle to contact the drum and maintain a substantially constant distance between the the nozzle outlet and the drum surface. The outlet end of the nozzle can be swivable relative to the feed means of the nozzle.
