Abstract: A method of neutralizing adverse biological effects of Interleukin 6 (IL-6) and other pro-inflammatory Interleukins in vivo is disclosed using homogeneous solutions of hypohalous acids to modify binding sites on cytokines and chemokines that are responsible for activation of cell surface receptors, and the initiation of harmful inflammatory processes or the growth of cytokine-dependent malignancies or of malignancies dependent on other chemical growth factors.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and compositions of hypobromous acid for use in the treatment and prevention of inflammatory conditions, acute or chronic, of infectious or noninfectious origin, such as those attributable to hypersensitivity mechanisms or trauma in human subjects and animals. The disclosure in various embodiments provides compositions prepared at the time of need for such applications so as to contain pure hypobromous acid formed from stable precursor formulations containing oxidative chlorine in the form of hypochlorous acid, hypochlorite, or other forms of aqueous oxidative chlorine.

Abstract: A reusable container system and method for reducing the use of plastic is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a reusable container includes: a reusable bottle; a lid attachable to the reusable bottle that enables access removing and inserting single-use replaceable sealed bag or pouch; an inner single-use replaceable sealed bag or pouch that holds a liquid, viscous, or gel material inside the reusable bottle; a sprayer or pump attachable to the reusable bottle; and a dip tube with a leading edge that pierces the inner bag upon assembly of the above listed components. The liquid material is accessed for dispensing through the dip tube without contaminating the reusable bottle.

Abstract: A method of preventing or treating respiratory virus infections is provided. The method includes administering to a subject an effective amount of a composition comprising a homogeneous hypohalous acid solution that is free of hypochlorite in HOCL solutions and free of hypobromite in HOBr solutions. The hypohalous acid modifies surface receptor binding domains of virus surface proteins and inhibits their capacity to interact with host cell receptors.
