摘要： An image forming apparatus including a rotating photosensitive drum, a cleaning blade having a cleaning edge part which makes contact with an outer surface of the photosensitive drum along an axial direction of the photosensitive drum and a bracket having a contact surface where the bracket makes contact with the cleaning blade to support the cleaning blade, the width of the contact surface between the bracket and the cleaning blade being maximum at the center part of the cleaning blade and gradually decreasing from the center part to opposite end sides of the cleaning blade. Thus, a cartridge for an image forming apparatus having a cleaning blade and a bracket prevents poor quality in a cleaning surface of a photosensitive drum and has improved durability.

摘要： A paper picking-up unit and an image forming apparatus having the same are provided. The paper picking-up unit includes a knock-up plate to stack paper thereon; a shaft disposed at a front end of the knock-up plate to rotate, a pick-up roller engaged with the shaft to rotate and pick-up the paper stacked on the knock-up plate, and a knock-up plate ascending and descending portion to raise and lower the knock-up plate according to the rotation of the pick-up roller. The pick-up roller includes a roller body engaged and rotatable with the shaft, and having a frictional layer to pick-up the paper by causing friction with the paper, a pair of roller housings to support opposite sides of the roller body such that the roller body does not move in a lengthwise direction of the shaft, and a damper disposed at an outer circumference of each roller housing to reduce noise caused by a collision of the roller housings and the knock-up plate.

The image forming apparatus includes a body frame having a cover to open or close the body frame; a process cartridge in which an image forming means including a photosensitive drum to form an electrostatic latent image is unitized so as to be removably mounted in the body frame; and a guide rail formed in the body frame so as to guide a movement of the process cartridge, wherein the guide rail has a process cartridge mounting position and a process cartridge removing position which is backwardly apart from the cartridge mounting position at a desired distance, and the process cartridge mounting position is located at a higher place than the process cartridge removing position. The process cartridge can be stably and conveniently mounted or removed, thereby improving a convenience of a user.

The first and second motors drive the first and second driving sections, respectively. The power supplied to one of the first and second motors having a higher output is cut off earlier by a predetermined compensation time as compared to the other motor having a lower output. The compensation time is equal to or shorter than the difference |T1−T2| between a first stop time T1 required to actually stop the first motor after cut-off of the power supplied to the first motor and a second stop time T2 required to actually stop the second motor after cut-off of the power supplied to the second motor.
