Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a recording unit configured to record an image onto a sheet, a first conveyance roller configured to convey the sheet, a motor configured to drive the first conveyance roller, and a control unit configured to repetitively perform control for accelerating the motor in an acceleration period and then decelerating the motor in a deceleration period, wherein, in at least a part of the deceleration period, the control unit makes an absolute value of a second deceleration in a second control of the motor smaller than an absolute value of a first deceleration in a first control of the motor, the first control being performed in a case where a trailing edge of the sheet does not stop in a first predetermined region, the second control being performed in a case where the trailing edge of the sheet stops in the first predetermined region.
