    摘要: A radiographic imaging apparatus includes elongated rigid guide rails having equivalent symmetrical shapes. Carriages attached to the guide rails are configured to move along a length of the guide rails and to support a portion of the imaging apparatus and to facilitate movement thereof along the guide rails. A first type spherical bearing assembly allows a gimbaled connection thereto while allowing substantially no axial movement. A second type spherical bearing assembly allows a gimbaled connection thereto while allowing a limited amount of axial movement. Frame mounts are each attached to one of the first type and second type spherical bearing assemblies to facilitate movement having a one sided tolerance along the guide rails.

A boom carriage allows movement of the boom along a track in the vertical column and includes a magnetic mechanism to lock the boom in the track at a desired height. An electromagnetic coil in the boom carriage is configured to disable the magnetic lock mechanism to allow vertical movement of the boom along the track.

    摘要: A mobile radiography system includes a wheeled transport frame and a vertical column mounted on the transport frame. A telescoping arm is attached to the vertical column and to an x-ray tube head. The telescoping arm includes a first section, a second section movable within the first section, and a third section movable within the second section. The first section and the second section each include a drag assembly configured to provide a drag force on the linearly movable section therewithin. The drag assemblies each include a friction material pressed against the linearly movable section to provide a constant drag force on the linearly movable section while it moves. A permanent pressure source presses the friction material against the linearly movable section.

A housing encloses the source and the detector, and includes an open housing gap to allow movement of the subject into the imaging area by moving through the open gap. A housing extension may be deployed to close the housing gap and to enclose the detector as it revolves. Shielding assemblies prevent exterior access into the housing.
