In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a printer including a controller that controls a printing unit, the controller executing: a movement distance measuring process that measures a movement distance of the printing unit relative to a printing medium; a coordinate recording process that calculates a plurality of coordinates on the basis of the movement distance measured in the movement distance measuring process; a printing region setting process that sets a printing region on the basis of the plurality of the coordinates recorded in a memory in the coordinate recording process; and a printing image selection process that identifies an image that has the largest area from at least one image, the at least one image being extracted from a group of images pre-recorded in the storage unit by designating such images that fit within the printing region set by the printing region setting process.

Disclosed is a printing device including: at least one processor that arranges multiple nail outlines based on a predetermined reference line, the nail outlines being outlines of multiple nails, and obtains multiple image portions from an image, the image portions corresponding to the arranged nail outlines and including designs that are related to each other; and a print head that prints the corresponding image portions on the respective nails.

The application device comprises a sensor that detects movement of the application device on an application target, a camera that obtains a captured image that is an image of a surface of the application target and is captured during the movement of the application device, a head that applies ink, and a processor, wherein the processor specifies an ink application area based on the captured image of the surface of the application target that is captured by the camera in accordance with the movement that is detected by the sensor, and controls the head to apply ink to the ink application area in accordance with the movement.

A printer is provided which includes a pattern input module, a printing module executing printing on a printing medium, and a control unit controlling the input and printing modules, wherein when an input pattern inputted from the input module is inputted into strings of a first string and a second string following the first string with a blank space portion formed at least either at the rear of a first pattern area where a first pattern of the first string is formed or at the front of a second pattern area where a second pattern of the second string is formed, the control unit deletes the blank space portion and arranges the first and second patterns into a single-string pattern array where the first and second patterns are arranged sequentially in that order and causes the printing module to print the pattern array on the printing medium.
