摘要: A compaction system includes a first frame; a second frame coupled to the first frame via an articulated joint; a first propulsion device operatively coupled to the first frame via a first propulsion motor, the first propulsion device being configured to propel the compaction system over a work surface in response to a power applied by the first propulsion motor; a compaction drum operatively coupled to the second frame, the compaction drum being configured to compact the work surface via rolling engagement with the work surface; a force sensor configured and arranged to generate a signal that is indicative of a propulsion force transmitted through the articulated joint; and a controller operatively coupled to the force sensor. The controller is configured to determine compaction performance of the compaction system against the work surface based at least in part on the signal from the force sensor.

摘要: A paving machine is disclosed. The paving machine may have a screed assembly having a left screed section and a right screed section. The paving machine may also have a crown actuator configured to pivot the left and right screed sections about the centerline. The paving machine may have a crown profile sensor configured to detect the crown profile (DP), and a cross slope sensor configured to detect a cross slope (QNL*, QNR*) of the screed assembly. Further, the paving machine may have a controller configured to determine the crown profile (DP) and a cross slope (QNL*, QNR*) of the screed assembly. The controller may calculate a left cross slope (QNL) of the left screed section and a right cross slope (QNR) of the right screed section based on the determined crown profile (DP) and the determined cross slope (QNL*, QNR*), and display the crown profile on the display device.

摘要: A system and method for controlling a paving operation includes applying asphalt to a surface using a screed mounted on a paving machine, scanning a surface of the asphalt as it is applied by the screed immediately behind the paving machine using a thermal scanner mounted on the paving machine, and transmitting a signal indicative of a scanned temperature of the asphalt from the paving machine. The signal is received at the compactor and is indicative of the scanned temperature of the asphalt. The signal is used to notify a compactor operator at the compactor.
