Abstract:
The earth handling components of a scraper of the kind having a hoeing apron mounted on powered articulated linkage are actuated by means of a single operator''s control lever which may be pivoted forwardly, backwardly or to either side and which may be lifted or depressed or rotated in either of two directions, wherein each motion operates a different one of a plurality of electrical switches which control solenoid valves operating fluid jacks coupled to the several scraper components. Ten different scraper component movements may be initiated by appropriate positioning of the single lever, either individually or in certain selected combinations.
Abstract:
A self-loading scraper of the kind in which the apron is articulately mounted and powered to be capable of a hoeing action to assist the loading of earth over the blade and into the bowl with the apron support and actuating linkage extending rearwardly from the hitch which connects the scraper with the tractor which draws it.
Abstract:
IN THE BOWL OF AN EARTHMOVING SCRAPER IN WHICH THE EJECTION OF THE BOWL CONTENTS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY PIVOTING THE FLOOR OF THE BOWL TOWARD A VERTICAL PLANE, A CLEANER BLADE SUPPORTED TO REST BY GRAVITY ON THE BOWL FLOOR AND RESTRAINED AGAINST MOVEMENT WITH THE FLOOR SO THAT MOVING THE FLOOR CAUSES THE BLADE TO TRANSVERSE ITS SURFACE AND THUS CLEAN THEREFROM STICKY EARTH WHICH TENDS TO ADHERE TO THE FLOOR.
