Abstract: Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to a cable sealing structure comprising a cable sealing body including a gel and methods of making anisotropic behavior in cable sealing structures made with a dry silicone gel. In one aspect, various three-dimensional printing techniques are used to make a cable sealing structure that includes a gel. The cable sealing body has a construction that elastically deforms to apply an elastic spring load to the gel. The cable sealing body has a construction with anisotropic deformation characteristics that allows the cable sealing body to be less deformable in one direction than in others. The cable sealing structure can be utilized to seal fiber optic cables more uniformly while limiting the potential of leakage.

Abstract: One or more seal retention clips can be used to retain a perimeter seal within a perimeter groove defined by a fiber optic enclosure housing. Certain types of seal retention clips can include portions that embed or bite into the housing of the enclosure, and/or embed or bite into the perimeter seal. In certain examples, the seal retention clip includes tabs or teeth that assist in engaging the housing and the perimeter seal. In certain examples, the seal retention clip defines a channel for receiving the perimeter seal.

Abstract: A closure (100/200) protects telecommunications circuitry from water and dust. The closure (100/200) includes a base (128) that has a sidewall (134) that extends upwardly from a bottom (118), and the sidewall (134) has at least one cable port (122/222). The closure (100/200) also includes a cover (126) that attaches to the base (128) to close an interior (130) of the closure (100/200). Further, a galvanic anode (124) is removably secured to the sidewall (134) of the base (128) of the closure (100/200) and electronic circuitry (132) is disposed within the interior (130) of the closure (100/200). The electronic circuitry (132) is active electronic circuitry.

Abstract: An optical connection terminal includes a first connection module and a second connection module that each terminate multi-fiber cables. The second connection module operatively couples to the first connection module so that at least one of the optical connectors of the first connection module directly optically couples with one of the optical connectors of the second connection module. A connection between the at least one optical connector of the first connection module and the optical connector of the second connection module is sealed from an exterior of the terminal.
