    Abstract: A submarine connection box for connecting a system of submarine power cables, each including at least one submarine power cable core, the submarine connection box including: a casing, the casing having N first openings configured to receive a respective submarine power cable of a first set of N submarine power cables, N being an integer equal to or greater than 1, the casing having K second openings configured to receive a respective submarine power cable of a second set of K submarine power cables, K being an integer greater than 1, a termination box arranged inside the casing, the termination box having a housing including a first group of openings, and a second group of openings, each of the first group of openings being configured to receive a respective submarine power cable core of the first set of N submarine power cables, and each of the second group of openings being configured to receive a respective submarine power cable core of the second set of K submarine power cables, and L sets of connectors arranged in the termination box, L being an integer equal to the number of electrical phases or poles of the system of submarine power cables, wherein for each of the L sets, the connectors are electrically interconnected with each other and configured to connect submarine power cable cores of corresponding electrical phases or poles of the first set of N submarine power cables and the second set of K submarine power cables.

    Abstract: A high frequency cable connector with a plug connector terminating shielded cables via a plurality of cable connection modules attached to a paddle card. The terminations do not significantly disrupt the high integrity signal paths within the cables, even at high frequencies. Various techniques may be used, alone or in combination, to form the termination, including that the wire insulators and shields of the cables extend almost to the point of termination, with a relatively small length of wire extending beyond the insulator and shield; welding of cable wires to signal terminals in the modules; signal terminals and ground terminals held within the modules with a controlled relative spacing; signal terminals of the modules surface mount soldered to pads on the paddle card; narrow pads approximating the width of traces in the paddle card; and short pads, approximating the length of mounting ends of the signal terminals.

    Abstract: A terminal stand is provided. The terminal stand includes a base body, a movable part, a metal elastic part, a first signal element and a second signal element. One end of the metal elastic member includes two first abutments. The first signal element is disposed in a second receiving slot. One end of the first signal element includes a first contact portion and a second abutment. The second signal element is disposed in the second receiving slot. One end of the second signal element includes a second contact portion. The second contact portion contacts with the first contact portion and makes a signal circuit. When the movable member is pressed, the movable member drives the two first abutments to move, and the abutment drives the second abutment to move, with the first contact portion leaving the second contact portion, and the signal circuit is in an off-state state.

    Abstract: A high-voltage cable fitting, typically a cable end termination or a cable joint, includes coaxially arranged around an axis a rigid conical insulator, an electrically insulating, elastomeric stress-relief cone matching the rigid conical insulator through a conical interface and an axially aligned current path. The current path connects a conductor of the cable to a high-voltage current terminal arranged on top of the rigid conical insulator and provided for connection to a high-voltage component. The rigid conical insulator is configured as a condenser core and includes a plurality of electrically conductive field-grading layers, which are arranged concentrically around the axis, and a rigid polymeric matrix which embeds the field-grading layers. In order to keep the size of the cable fitting small and to enable the fitting to carry high rated continuous currents a section of the cable conductor, which is stripped off the insulation of the cable, extends from the conical interface to the high-voltage current terminal and forms the axially aligned current path, and the condenser core comprises an axially aligned tubular duct which receives the stripped-off section of the cable conductor and which passes two opposing front faces of the condenser core.
