Abstract: A spool device (60, 90) for storing at least a portion of a telecommunications cable (800) in a storage configuration (870) includes a base (100, 600), a spool member (300, 700), and a loop engaging member (440, 740). The base (100, 600) includes a plurality of cable holders (110, 110x, 110y, 110a, 110p) configured for receiving a first portion (822, 822a, 822p) and a second portion (824, 824p) of the cable (800). The spool member (300, 700) is mounted to the base (100, 600) and includes a wrapping area (314, 714) that is configured for storing a coiled portion (826) of the cable (800). The loop engaging member (440, 740) is configured for engaging a looped portion (828) of the cable (800) and thereby secures at least the coiled portion (826) and the looped portion (828) of the cable (800). The spool device (60, 90) may be used as an adjustable overlength device for looped cable. The spool device (60, 90) may store and dispense the cable (800) while ends (802, 804) of the cable (800) remain connected to stationary first and second devices (902, 904), respectively.

Abstract: Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to an IP 55 rated enclosure that does not use a rubber O-ring or comparable elastomeric sealing member disposed between pieces of the enclosure to provide sealing. Another aspect of the present disclosure relates to an IP 55 compliant sealing interface that includes mating sealing profiles made of the identical materials. A further aspect of the present disclosure relates to an enclosure having jet stream redirecting structures that prevent spray from a water jet from being sprayed directly into an ingress path defined by a sealing interface. A further aspect of the present disclosure relates to a sealing interface provided by an interference-fit between two plastic profiles which create pressure on the interface keeping it closed while concurrently including angled surfaces so that greater tolerances are allowed.

A cover (260) is also provided which covers at least a portion of the spool structure (237). The cover (260) includes a port (266) aligned over the hub portion (248) through which the length of cable can be dispensed from the spool structure (237) by unwinding the cable (190) about the spool structure (237) such that the port (266) revolves around the spool structure (237). Abstract: A fiber distribution system (10) includes a fiber distribution hub (20, 300); at least one fiber distribution terminal (30, 100); and a cable (40) wrapped around a spool (110) of the fiber distribution terminal (30, 100). The fiber distribution terminal (30, 100) includes a spool (110) and a management tray (120) that rotate together. A second connectorized end (40b) of the cable (40) is held at a fiber optic adapter (125) on the tray (120). After dispensing the first connectorized end (40a) to the hub (20), an optical splitter (70, 130, 140) can be mounted to the tray (120). The splitter (26, 70, 130, 140, 306) has output adapters at which patch cords (50) can be inserted to connect subscribers to the system. The fiber distribution hub can use the same format of splitters (26, 70, 130, 140, 306). Other distributed splitter systems are provided with splicing and/or adding of splitters as needed.
