Abstract: A cable fixation bracket and methods for securing cables to a cable fixation bracket are disclosed. The cable fixation bracket can include a base portion extending between a pair of mounting structures. A plurality of t-shaped cable fixation projections extending orthogonally from the base portion can be provided, each of which is configured to support a cable and to accept a cable tie. In some examples, the fixation projections are tapered. The cable fixation bracket can also include a bridge portion supporting a plurality of bracket structures for anchoring aramid yarn of the cables. The bracket structures are configured such that aramid yarn of the cables can be wrapped around the bracket structures and returned to the fixation projections or such that the aramid yarn can be wrapped about a termination unit with the termination unit being mounted between a pair of adjacent cable structures.

Abstract: An extendable telecommunications patch panel (10) is disclosed. In one aspect, the patch panel can include a plurality of interconnectable connection parts (100) for holding telecommunications connectors (12), such as adapters. Each connection part (100) may be provided with features that allow the connection parts (100) to be interlocked with each other to form the extendable patch panel (10). In one aspect, a first connection feature (122) can be located on a connection part first side (102) and a second connection feature (124) can be located on a connection part second side (104). The first connection feature (122) can be configured to interlock with the second connection feature (124) of an adjacent connection part (100). The connection part (100) may also be provided with an adapter (150) that allows the connection parts (100) to be connected in a staggered formation to result in a staggered patch panel (10).

In one aspect, the enclosure (10) includes a base (20), a cover (40), a lock assembly (70) for securing the base (20) to the cover (40), and a key (60) for operating the lock assembly (70). In one aspect, a lock clip (80) of the lock assembly (70) enables operation of the lock assembly (70) when the cover (40) is in the closed position. In another aspect, the lock clip (80) disables operation of the lock assembly (70) when the cover (40) is in the open position such that the lock assembly (70) is prevented from being operated out of the open position. In yet another aspect, the key (60) is prevented from being removed from the cover (40) when the key (60) operates the lock assembly (70) out of the locked position.

The loop engaging member (440, 740) is configured for engaging a looped portion (828) of the cable (800) and thereby secures at least the coiled portion (826) and the looped portion (828) of the cable (800). The spool device (60, 90) may be used as an adjustable overlength device for looped cable. The spool device (60, 90) may store and dispense the cable (800) while ends (802, 804) of the cable (800) remain connected to stationary first and second devices (902, 904), respectively.
