The present invention relates to a process for preparing polyether polyols by addition of alkylene oxides onto H-functional starter substances, characterized in that at least one urethane alcohol of formula (H) where R1 is linear or branched C2 to C24-alkylene which may optionally be interrupted by heteroatoms such as O, S or N and may be substituted, R2 is linear or branched C2 to C24-alkylene which may optionally be interrupted by heteroatoms such as O, S or N and may be substituted, R3 is H, linear or branched C1 to C24-alkyl, C3 to C24-cycloalkyl, C4 to C24-aryl, C5 to C24-aralkyl. C2 to C24-alkenyl, C2 to C24-alkynyl, each of which may optionally be interrupted by heteroatoms such as O, S or N and/or each of which may be substituted by alkyl, aryl and/or hydroxyl, is used as H-functional starter compound. The invention further provides the polyether polyols containing a urethane group, the polyether polyols obtainable by the process according to the invention, for the use of the inventive polyether polyols for preparation of a polyurethane polymer, and the resulting polyurethane polymers.

The invention relates to a method for producing polyether carbonate polyols by adding alkylene oxides and carbon dioxide to an H-functional starter substance in the presence of a double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst or in the presence of a metal complex catalyst based on the metals zinc and/or cobalt, wherein (γ) alkylene oxide and carbon dioxide are added to an H-functional starter substance in a reactor with a total pressure (absolute) of 5 to 120 bar in the presence of a double metal cyanide catalyst or in the presence of a metal complex catalyst based on the metals zinc and/or cobalt, and a reaction mixture containing the polyether carbonate polyol is obtained, (δ) the reaction mixture obtained in step (γ) remains in the reactor or is optionally continuously transferred to a downstream reactor at a starting total pressure (absolute) of 5 to 120 bar, the content of free alkylene oxide in the reaction mixture being reduced in the course of a downstream reaction in each case, and the total pressure (absolute) can be reduced by up to 50% during the step (δ), and (ζ) the content of highly volatile components of the obtained reaction mixture is thermally reduced at a temperature of 80° C. to 200° C. The invention is characterized in that (ε) the reaction mixture resulting from step (δ) is brought to a total pressure (absolute) of ≤2.0 bar, preferably 0.5 bar to 2.0 bar, particularly preferably 0.9 bar to 1.1 bar, prior to step (ζ) and then left at a temperature of 80 to 180° C. for a dwell time of at least 0.5 h. The invention relates to a method for producing polyurethane soft foam by reacting an isocyanate component with a component which is reactive towards isocyanates. The component which is reactive towards isocyanates comprises a mixture of at least one polyether carbonate polyol and a polyether polyol as the constituents. In the component which is reactive towards isocyanates, the total proportion of polyether carbonate polyols is =20 wt. % to =80 wt. % and the total proportion of polyether polyol is =20 wt. % to =80 wt. %, based on the total weight of the provided polyols. The invention further relates to a polyurethane soft foam produced using said method.
