Abstract: According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a luminaire comprises a plurality of waveguides, a light source arranged to direct light into the plurality of waveguides, and a plurality of extraction feature patterns. The luminaire contemplated by the present disclosure is arranged with the plurality of waveguides are aligned such that an extraction feature pattern extracts light out of a first waveguide of the plurality of waveguides and a second extraction feature pattern extracts light out of a second waveguide of the plurality of waveguides. Further, in accordance with this aspect, the light extracted out of the first waveguide is directed through the second waveguide to develop an appearance of depth.
