摘要： Techniques for managing access to a physical area are provided. In one technique, first data is extracted from a digital file. Based on identification data within the first data, a database is searched. A data item in the database is identified that matches the identification data. The first data is associated with the data item. After associating the first data with the data item, code data is generated. Encoded data that encodes the code data is then generated. The encoded data is sent over a computer network to a mobile device, or an account, of a user that is associated with the data item.

摘要： Techniques for managing access to physical assets based on captured digital data and a database are provided. In one technique, one or more functions in an application that executes on a client device are locked. A smart badge that is associated with healthcare information is then received from a remote server system. In response to receiving the smart badge, the one or more functions are unlocked. After unlocking the one or more functions and in response to user input that selects a particular function of the one or more functions, a request and identification data that pertain to the particular function are transmitted over a computer network.

摘要： An approach is provided for managing processing rules used to process electronic data in computer networks. An application provides the capability for users to define and manage classifications for electronic data. The application also provides the capability for users to define and manage processing rules for each classification. This may include specifying, for each processing rule, a classification to which the processing rule corresponds, one or more conditions under which the processing rule is to be applied and optionally, not applied, a priority for the processing rule, and one or more actions to be performed. The priority may be used to determine which rule is to be applied when more than one rule corresponds to a classification. The application supports the definition and management of classifications and rules on a logical group-by-logical group basis.
