Abstract: A method for predicting a service life of a filter element of a filter module in a system, the filter element serving to clean air, includes the steps of: a) retrieving characterization data of the system from a database; b) retrieving characterization data of the filter element from a database; c) retrieving measurement data of the system detected in the system by sensor technology; d) retrieving measurement data of the filter element detected by the sensor technology in the filter module; e) retrieving measurement data of air to be cleaned; and f) creating a data model from the data and determining the service life of the filter element to be expected.

Abstract: A method for providing an air stream for a system, in particular a plant, includes the following steps: a. specifying an air requirement and a required degree of air purity of the system having the plant, and storing the values in a memory unit of a control module; b. cleaning the air stream in a filter module comprising filter elements; c. providing the air stream through the filter module to air inlets or air outlets of the system as a provided air stream; d. detecting a magnitude of the provided air stream and of an actual degree of air purity by a sensor system; e. comparing a magnitude of the provided air stream and of the actual degree of air purity to the stored values; and g. calculating a performance characteristic of the filter module. A volume of the provided air influences the performance characteristic.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a filter element that includes a frame and bag-type filter pockets which are connected to the frame. The filter pockets have an inflow side and an outflow side, wherein at least one opening is present on the inflow side for the inlet of a fluid to be filtered by the filter pockets. The interior of each of the filter pockets tapers in the direction of their respective outflow side. Fluid-guiding elements are provided on the inflow and/or the outflow side of the filter pockets. An efficient filter element in which the fluid to be filtered is effectively cleaned is therefore provided.
