    Abstract: A seamless access control system includes a local access assembly, a wearable mobile device, a storage medium, and a processor. The assembly is adapted to operate between access and no-access states, and includes a controller to effect actuation between the states, and a signal transceiver. The wearable mobile device is worn by a user, and includes an inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor system configured to detect a performed inherent gesture performed by the user, and being at least a portion of a user exercise to gain entry. The storage medium and the processor are configured to receive the performed inherent gesture and execute an application to compare the performed inherent gesture to the preprogrammed inherent gesture, and thereby conditionally output a command signal to the local access assembly via the transceiver to effect actuation between states, and prior to completion of the user exercise to gain entry.

    Abstract: A method of determining a location of one or more access controls utilizing an individual carrying a mobile device is provided. The method including: detecting a first wireless signal; determining a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) of the first wireless signal; determining a distance between a mobile device and a first access control in response to the RSSI of the first wireless signal; determining a location of the mobile device when the first wireless signal is detected; and determining a location of the first access control in response to the location of the mobile device and the distance between the mobile device and the first access control.

    Abstract: A gesture access system adapted to operate in conjunction with a containment carried by a user. The access system includes an access assembly, a mobile device, a storage medium, and a processor. The assembly is adapted to operate between an access and no-access states, and includes a controller, and a signal receiver. The device is disposed in the containment and includes an inertial measurement unit sensor system configured to measure a device motion of the device to conditionally detect an intentional body gesture of the user indicative of an intent to gain access. The intentional body gesture is contrary to routine containment motions caused by routine body motions of the user. The storage medium and the processor are configured to store and execute an application and preprogrammed motion scenario data to analyze the device motion and conditionally send a command signal to the assembly.

    Abstract: A presence alert system (24) includes a sniffer (36), controller-circuitry (38), radio frequency (RF) background data (40), and a software program (42). The sniffer is configured to sample and measure a characteristic of ambient RF signals (33) over time. The controller-circuitry includes one or more processors and one or more storage mediums. The RF background data is stored in at least one of the one or more storage mediums, and is indicative of no moving presence. The software program is stored in at least one of the one or more storage mediums, and is executed by at least one of the one or more processors. The software program is configured to evaluate the measured characteristic of the ambient RF signals, compare the measured characteristic to the RF background data, and thereby determine motion of a presence (34).
