Abstract:
A robot includes an operation unit, an imager, an operation controller, a determiner, and an imager controller. The imager is disposed at a predetermined part of the robot and captures an image of a subject. The operation controller controls the operation unit to move the predetermined part. The determiner determines whether the operation controller is moving the predetermined part or not while the imager captures the image of the subject. The imager controller controls the imager or recording of the image of the subject that is captured by the imager, in a case in which the determiner determines that the operation controller is moving the predetermined part, so as to prevent motion of the predetermined part from affecting the image of the subject and causing the operation unit to perform an erroneous operation.
Abstract:
An image capture apparatus includes: an image capturing unit; a first image capture controller configured to control the image capturing unit to capture a set of a plurality of images while changing exposure time for each of the images; a second image capture controller configured to obtain a plurality of sets of the images; an addition combination section configured to perform image alignment on the images contained in each of the sets and to perform addition combination on the aligned images to generate a combined image; a combination controller configured to control the addition combination section to perform the image alignment and the addition combination for each of the sets to obtain a plurality of combined images; a selector configured to evaluate the combined images and to select one of the combined images most highly evaluated as a selected image; and a storage configured to store the selected image.
Abstract:
Provided is a data processor for generating three-dimensional image data from two-dimensional original image data, the three-dimensional image data including depth value, the apparatus comprising: a first clustering processor for dividing the two-dimensional original image data into a first plurality of clusters based on brightness; a three-dimensional data generating unit for setting a predetermined direction as a brighter-to-darker direction, and for generating information, as first depth information, such that depth value for a first cluster among the plurality of clusters is set to be larger than depth value for a second cluster which neighbors the first cluster and is located nearer to a starting point of the brighter-to-darker direction than the first cluster where the brightness of the first cluster is darker than the brightness of the second cluster.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus of the present application includes a drawing unit that draws a line on an image in a drawing area displayed in a fixed mode, which displays an image by fixing a position of the image; a judgment unit that judges whether a position of the line during drawing by the drawing unit is positioned on a boundary indicating the drawing area; a mode switching unit that switches from the fixed mode to a predetermined mode other than the fixed mode in a case in which the position during drawing is judged as being positioned on the boundary indicating the drawing area by the judgment unit; and a display control unit that executes control to display the image based on the mode switched by the mode switching unit.
Abstract:
A determiner in a dialog control apparatus determines whether a reply can be made in response to an utterance made by the dialog partner. If the determiner determines that a reply cannot be made, a creator creates a reply sentence for connecting to a next topic. An utterer utters the reply sentence created by the creator.
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to make a facial expression when the eyes are moved more natural. An image processing device (100) is provided with the following: an image acquisition unit (5a) for acquiring an image that includes the eyes; an iris detection unit (5c) for detecting from the acquired image the iris region of the eyes; and an eye image generation unit (5f) for supplementing a deficient portion of the iris region so that the shape of the detected iris region becomes substantially circular.

Abstract:
A method includes specifying an image area which is contained in the subject-present image taken and in which nonflatness is less than or equal to a predetermined value, determining whether or not a range of the specified image area in the subject-present image in which the nonflatness is less than or equal to a predetermined value is greater than or equal to a predetermined range, generating an extraction background image used to extract a subject area in the subject-present image containing the subject, from the image area when the range of the image area in which the nonflatness is less than or equal to a predetermined value is determined to be greater than or equal to the predetermined range, and extracting the subject area from the subject-present image based on information on a difference between each pixel in the extraction background image and a corresponding pixel in the subject-present image.
