摘要： A chassis venting apparatus includes a chassis defining a chassis enclosure, the chassis enclosure including a first wall, and a chassis vent structure extending from the first wall and into the chassis enclosure, the chassis vent structure defining a chassis venting passageway in the chassis enclosure. Heated air from heat producing components may be vented from the chassis enclosure through the chassis vent structure and the chassis venting passageway, and the first wall and chassis venting passageway may also be used as a handle to lift the chassis.

摘要： Using specially designed molded plastic I/O output brackets having differently arranged connection opening series formed therein, a variety of differently configured computers may be manufactured using identical sheet metal chassis. Each bracket has an identical peripheral configuration, is complementarily receivable in an end wall cutout area of any of the chassis, and has a series of I/O connections formed therein which are arranged to complementarily receive the I/O connector devices mounted on the system planar board selected for incorporation within the particular chassis. When the bracket is operatively installed in the cutout area of the chassis wall a peripheral groove formed in the bracket receives an edge portion of the chassis wall and forms therewith an EMI seal having a labyrinth configuration.

The envelope is provided with a plurality of vertical ribs perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the envelope, the ribs forming a series of intercommunicating inflatable cells. The envelope is capable of attachment to a belting or corseting material with fastening straps, and has a means of introducing fluid therein.

摘要： A configuration switch assembly for a computer system includes a protected switch for selectively enabling or disabling a function of the computer system, as determined by the state of the switch. The switch is mounted on the interior surface of a chassis panel. In one embodiment, a slide lock is installed in a guide on the exterior surface of the chassis panel. The slide lock alternatively engages, or disengages from, the switch as it travels between two limit positions that are determined by an aperture in the guide and a cam extending from the slide lock. The slide lock is lockable in one of the two positions so that when the slide lock is locked, the state of the protected switch cannot be altered, and the function, as established by the locked state of the switch, is protected.

摘要： An improved therapeutic corset which is peculiarly adapted for the sacrum, lumbar and thoracic region of the body comprises an elongated support surface formed from material that is bendable when subjected to forces encountered thereby. Disposed on the support surface and secured thereto along its edges is a flexible cover disposed thereover to form an envelope. The envelope is provided with a duct of introducing fluid therein and retaining same, thus inflating the envelope causing the surface to bend to assume a predetermined curvature, which is preferably in the shape of a crescent. The support surface is further equipped with a fastener removably securing the free ends of same to the wearer.

摘要： A therapeutic belt which is peculiarly adapted for the sacro-lumbar region of the body is disclosed. The belt appliance includes one or more inflatable cell structures integrally formed with the belt body as an extrusion. The inflatable structures are divided into air cell pockets by means of die cutting and heat sealing operations, and the pockets are fluidically connected to an air source by an air duct which is also integrally formed with the belt body and the inflatable cells. The pockets have different configurations and vary in size, and the extrusion is fabricated from a plastic vinyl material which exhibits a low coefficient of stretchability. The inflated configuration of the cell structure is also memorized into the material whereby substantially the same inflated configuration is always obtained. Precisely defined and located contact areas, developing predetermined amounts of counterpressure, are thus present within the appliance for application to the body portions for therapeutic purposes.

The inner surface walls of the protective housing absorb forces applied at the mating signal connector to reduce the risk of breakage of the mating tongue or of the mounting of the signal connector to the printed circuit board, such as mounting only by solder of the electrical connections or mounting with board locks.
