    摘要: A chassis device adapted for an expansion device is provided and includes a case, a base and a latch. The case includes an avoiding portion. The base is disposed on the case. At least one accommodating portion is formed on the base. The latch includes at least one pivoting portion, a first abutting portion and a second abutting portion. The at least one pivoting portion is movably disposed through the at least one accommodating portion. The latch is slidable between a locking position and a non-locking position. The first abutting portion and the second abutting portion respectively abut against the case and the expansion device when the latch is located at the locking position, and the avoiding portion allows the latch to pivot when the latch is located at the non-locking position. Besides, a server including the aforementioned chassis device is provided.

    摘要: A computing apparatus adapted for rear access installation of a computer card with blind mating. The apparatus includes an enclosure with a rear access opening and a circuit board mounted in an interior space of the enclosure with an upward facing connector. The apparatus includes a guide assembly comprising a guide mounted within the interior space, and the guide includes a travel surface extending over the upward facing connector of the circuit board. The apparatus includes a card carrier with a frame that houses a computer card, e.g., a PCIe card, which includes a connector extending outward from the card carrier frame. The card carrier rides upon the travel surface when the card carrier is inserted into the enclosure and then pivots about a contact surface in the guide assembly when the computer card connector is proximate to the upward facing connector to provide vertical insertion of the computer card.

    摘要: A computer processor retention device comprises a load frame, a load plate, and a pair of retractable cover members. The load frame may be secured to a circuit board around a processor mounting site. The load plate is pivotally coupled to the load frame and is pivotable between being open for receiving a processor at the processor mounting site and closed in engagement with a periphery of the received processor. The load plate has a window that is open to the processor mounting site when the load plate is closed. The retractable cover members span the window and are alternately movable along a track toward one another to cover the processor mounting site and away from one another to expose the processor mounting site.

    摘要: An information handling system includes a chassis having a guide slot and a printed circuit board placed in guide slot of the chassis. The guide slot includes at least two opposing channels aligned adjacent the printed circuit board with a guide tab formed in one of the opposing channels. A daughter card electrically couples to the printed circuit board when placed in an attached position. The daughter card includes a first edge and a second edge that slides between the opposing channels of the guide slot such that the card aligns to couple to the printed circuit board. The card also includes a first detent formed in either the first edge or the second edge. The first detent releaseably interacts with the guide tab formed in the opposing channels such that the guide tab contacts the first detent when the card is placed in an intermediate position.

The functional expansion card is mounted to the interface card cradle, and when the interface card cradle leans against the circuit board, the functional expansion card is inserted into the expansion slot of the circuit board, so as to electrically connect to the circuit board.
