A time division multiple access (TDMA) control method used by a mobile radio frequency identifier (RFID) reader through a mobile phone base station and a mobile RFID reader are provided. Each mobile RFID reader occupies a frequency channel during a time slot allocated through a mobile communication base station, thereby avoiding interference between readers.

The present invention relates to a mobile radio frequency identification (RFID) reader and a RFID communication method using a shared system clock. According to the present invention, clock for synchronizing the mobile RFID readers can be shared without changing hardware of a conventional RHD device. Also, since the shared clock is used, a technology for preventing a collision with the readers can be easily realized in a mobile multi-reader environment.

Provided is a communication method for radio frequency identification (RFID). In order to transmit a command message with respect to an RFID tag, an RFID reader generates a command message comprising a command code indicating a type of command to be delivered to the RFID tag, a response format having one or more bits for indicating a type of additional data to be added to a response message to be received from the RFID tag, and an identifier identifying the RFID tag; and transmits the command message to the RFID tag, thereby allowing the RFID tag to immediately transmit the additional data via the response message in response to the command message.

An apparatus for storing sensing data in a tag and a method thereof are provided. According to the present invention, data measured by the sensor is stored in volatile memory and important data from among the data stored in the volatile memory is stored in non-volatile memory according to a pre-set data loss prevention mechanism so that a battery and the tag including the battery have a longer life and stability of data can be secured.
摘要:
A passive tag including a volatile memory is provided. The passive tag includes: a sensing unit which senses or measures information about environmental surroundings of the tag; a volatile memory; a non-volatile memory; and a control unit which firstly stores resultant data sensed or measured by the sensing unit in the volatile memory and then moves the data stored in the volatile memory to the non-volatile memory according to pre-set conditions. Therefore, the life of the tag is prolonged and stability of important data can be secured.

An apparatus and method for managing power of a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag are provided. It is possible for the apparatus for managing the power of the RFID tag to effectively reduce power consumption of the RFID tag by measuring the power strength of a radio frequency (RF) signal received from an RFID reader and adjusting a level of transmission power based on the measured power strength of the signal.

Provided are a mobile RFID reader and a control method thereof. The mobile RFID reader includes: a reader controller for beginning a reader operation to communicate with a tag in response to a command of a terminal controller of the wireless communication terminal; an anti-collision state machine for controlling collision among a plurality of tags, and transferring the result of communication with the tag to the reader controller; a reader transmitter for generating a reader command message decided at the anti-collision state machine, and coding and modulating the generated reader command message; a reader receiver for demodulating and decoding a tag signal received through an antenna, and reporting a tag response state to the anti-collision state machine; and a channel controller for selecting a channel to use to communicate with a tag in response to a command of the reader controller.

Provided is a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader that can minimize collision among RFID readers in an environment where there are a plurality of RFID readers within a limited operating environment by making each RFID reader select a channel at different delay time based on a random value, and a method for controlling operation of the RFID reader. The RFID reader includes a random value generating unit; a reader control unit for adaptively deciding a counter value for generating the random value; an anti-collision unit for preventing collision among a plurality of tags; a reader transmitting unit for generating a reader command message determined by the anti-collision unit, encoding the reader command message, and modulating the reader command message; a reader receiving unit for demodulating and decoding a tag signal; and a channel operation control unit for selecting a channel to be used for the communication with the tag.

Provided are a reader-tag integrated RFID apparatus and a method for controlling the same. The apparatus includes a tag unit for communicating with an external reader, and transmitting a response signal and data corresponding to a signal transmitted from the external reader to the external reader, a reader unit for selecting a channel between other reader and the reader-tag integrated RFID apparatus with a different delay time, and communicating with an external tag using a random value to minimize collision; and a controller for selectively activating one of the tag unit and the reader unit if it necessary.
