摘要： A coaxial cable connector includes a terminal pin secured in a nut by an insulator inserted in a half-spool retainer, a cylindrical housing connected to the half-spool retainer that receives a terminal post having a flanged first end and a cylindrical body with an axial bore, a metal ferrule, a plastic sleeve and a retaining ring. The ferrule is positioned over the body of the terminal post to form an annular space, the plastic sleeve fits over the ferrule and the retaining ring fits into the end of the plastic sleeve. The center conductor of a prepared coaxial cable is inserted into the axial bore of the terminal post and the outer conductor is positioned in the annular space. The retaining ring is pressed into the plastic sleeve to connect the center conductor to the terminal pin, collapse the ferrule to form an electrical connection between the outer conductor and the housing through the metal ferrule and secure the coaxial cable and plastic sleeve in the housing.

As a result, the inner surface of the connector body does not require a recess or other engagement structure formed thereon.

摘要： A single facer including a preheater for conditioning a paperboard web. The preheater is positioned upstream form a corrugating nip and includes an arcuate surface facing the web. A plurality of primary channels are disposed internally within the preheater in thermal communication with the arcuate surface. High pressure steam is supplied to the primary channels for heating the arcuate surface. A plurality of outlet ports extend within the preheater and are in fluid communication with the heated arcuate surface. Low pressure steam is released through the plurality of outlet ports thereby producing a steam film between the heated arcuate surface and the paperboard web. The steam film dramatically increases heat transfer to the paperboard web while also reducing frictional forces opposing movement of the web.

The endless belt is guided over a plurality of belt rolls wherein one of the belt rolls defines an auxiliary nip for providing an auxiliary force pressing the endless belt and the liner web together with the flutes of the medium web. An adjustment means is provided for adjusting the auxiliary force within the auxiliary nip.

A method for determining cutting tool wear and breakage provides a tool vibration signal, computes functions of the AC and DC power of the vibration signal, and compares the AC and DC power signals.

摘要： Vibrations at the cutting tool-workpiece interface are sensed and the accelerometer output is preprocessed to yield a cutting noise vibration signal. Digital analysis of the sampled signal is performed to detect a gradual cutting noise signal level decrease tool break signature, either continuously decreasing or decreasing in a series of small abrupt steps. A tool break alarm is generated, without false alarming on metal-to-air tool path transitions, as the mean cutting noise signal level falls below an upper check limit and, after a preset time has elapsed, crosses a lower check limit.

摘要： An AC voltage regulator maintains a predetermined, desired output voltage despite changes in the input voltage, the load, or other operating conditions. The regulator generates an AC reference voltage signal of the same frequency and in phase with the input voltage, and having an amplitude proportional to the predetermined, desired output voltage. The AC reference voltage signal is compared instantaneously to a portion of the actual output voltage to determine an error between the actual output voltage and the predetermined, desired output voltage. The error is instantaneously corrected by altering the actual output voltage to conform to the predetermined, desired output voltage.

摘要： A steered beam B-scan ultrasonic imaging system has a linear transducer array divisible into multiple sub-arrays of transducer elements each operable to perform a sector scan, with the origin points displaced longitudinally along the array between sector scans. The system performs overlapping sector scans and is capable of imaging randomly oriented specularly reflecting targets. Time delays in the transmitting and receiving channels to steer the transmitted beam and to focus the received echoes are provided by digital techniques, by reversible digital shift registers, or by charge coupled device delay lines. The multiple sector image is displayed in real time in an intensity versus displacement format on a cathode ray tube.

摘要： An apparatus and related method for forming a single face paperboard web are disclosed. The apparatus of the present invention includes a forming corrugating roll for corrugating flutes on a medium web and a carrier corrugating roll operably connected to the forming corrugating roll for carrying the medium web into contact with a liner web. A bonding nip is defined by the carrier corrugating roll for pressing the liner web into adhering contact with the medium web, thereby forming a single faced web. A steam supplying device, including at least one fluid port in fluid communication with the bonding nip, supplies a low pressure steam against at least one of the liner web and the medium web. The steam supplying device further includes a body having a heated surface facing one of the liner and the medium webs. A primary channel extends within the body and is in thermal communication with the heated surface. A high pressure steam is supplied to the primary channel for heating the heated surface. A plurality of secondary channels extend within the body and are in fluid communication with the plurality of fluid ports. A low pressure steam is supplied to the secondary channels for release by the plurality of fluid ports within the bonding nip to assist in the rapid gelatinization of glue between the liner and medium webs.
