Abstract:
A grill is attached over an opening in a building. The top of the grill, which is connected together by a cross member, is securely attached to the side of the building. The lowermost portion of the grill, which is also connected by a cross member, pivots about the upper or a central cross member. The lower portion of the grill is held over the opening and against the side of the building by a quick release locking mechanism operated from inside the building. Upon release of the quick release locking mechanism, the lower portion of the grill will be allowed to swing outward so that a person may leave the building through the opening in case of an emergency.
Abstract:
A process for making a porous flocked fabric by coating one side of a loosely interlaced substrate with a flock binder. The coated side of the substrate is flocked and the binder is allowed to migrate or strike through to the opposite side of the substrate. A particulate material, e.g., flock, ground flock, talc, etc., is then applied to said opposite side and the binder is permanently set. The product obtained by this process is also described.
Abstract:
A grip attachment with LED light or optional mirror adapted for attaching to one end of an expandable baton. The end of the baton has threads thereon. The grip attachment includes a grip body with a hand grip surface. The grip body having a center hole therethrough for receipt around the threaded end of the expandable baton. The grip body also includes an annular ring or tabs disposed around an inside circumference of the center hole. The grip attachment is secured on the expandable baton between the threaded end of the baton and an end cap. The grip attachment with LED light is attached to the baton by removing the end cap, sliding the grip attachment with LED light onto the threaded end of the baton, and screwing the end cap back on the threaded end.
Abstract:
An apparatus for texturizing a flocked fabric comprising a flock fabric delivery station; a flock fabric receiving station; means for conveying the flock fabric from the delivery station to the receiving station; and means for orienting the flocked fabric comprising, a plurality of flexible beaters connected to means for bringing the beaters into continuous and vigorous contact with the flock side of the fabric, means for wetting the fabric prior to its being contacted by the beaters, and means for drying the fabric subsequent to its being contacted by the beaters.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method of using directed and isolated vibrations for awakening, alerting, or massaging a designated person situated on a support medium without disturbing another person in the vicinity. The vibrations from the vibrating mechanism are dampened by suitable material located between the vibration mechanism and the support medium. The vibrating device of the invention can be activated by various predetermined conditions such as time, safety or burglar alarms and the like. It may also be used as a selective massaging device which can deliver a massage to the user without disturbing another person situated on the same support medium.
Abstract:
An inflatable structure which includes a resilient wall with cuts, of the type comprising a print of allusive drawing on one of its surfaces, wherein said structure is composed substantially of an inflatable cushion having in the outer surface of one of its sides a resilient panel of considerable thickness attached thereto, and on the opposite side said cushion having a valve with cover for the admission of air or gas to inflate said structure, and in that the resilient panel of considerable thickness projects peripherally some distance beyond the edge of the cushion forming a flange and that it includes on the same wall attached to the cushion, near the edge thereof a slot, and includes a rigid support plate with ribs near the edges thereof which engages the slot of the flange of said resilient panel, and may include an adhesive for better attachment to the rigid support; said rigid support including also a perforation which coincides with the air or gas admission valve to permit the inflation of the structure, and the resilient panel having printed or drawn representations in which some of the lines are slits comprising printed on their inner surfaces suitable markings, whereby when the structure is inflated the resilient panel becomes significantly convex and furthermore the cuts open showing markings which could not be perceived when the structure was deflated, thus producing in a manner a low relief with three-dimensional visual impact.
Abstract:
The invention comprises a method for texturizing a flocked fabric by first wetting the flocked portion and/or its supporting fabric and adhesive, orienting the wet flock in a pre-determined design pattern by continuously, rapidly and vigorously contacting the flock with a plurality of flexible beaters and drying the fabric.
