Abstract:
A grooved resin molded part which when joined to another molded part, can form a composite molded product having an enhanced strength. This part contains an inorganic filler and has multiple grooves formed by partially removing the resin, such that the filler is exposed in these grooves. The depth of the grooves may be at least one-half of the length of the grooves in the shorter direction. The filler may have a fibrous shape; and the longer direction of the filler may be different from that of the grooves. The part is obtained by subjecting a resin molded part containing the filler to laser irradiation or the like to form multiple grooves in which the filler is exposed.
Abstract:
A self bonding floor tile includes a main body and a self bonding layer connected with the main body. The self bonding layer includes an absorptive element, a first adhesive and a second adhesive. The first adhesive connects the main body with the self bonding layer. The absorptive element includes a plurality of fibers which are implanted into the first adhesive by flocking process with at least a portion of the absorptive element extending into the first adhesive, and at least a portion of the second adhesive penetrates into the other portion of the absorptive element for connecting the self bonding layer with a support body going to be decorated. The present self bonding floor tile can be quickly installed, easily and partly replaced with low installation and replacement cost.
Abstract:
The apparel is constructed from various combinations of layers of materials with moisture transfer properties. A first liner of moisture transfer fabrics abuts a second layer of structural material such as open-cell foam. The second layer can abut a breathable membrane and/or an insulating material. Finally, carefully selected outer fabric completes the combination to provide apparel with improved performance characteristics. The outer fabrics are treated in various ways to enhance performance.
Abstract:
A tissue fusion agent includes a particulate and/or fibrous flock material, wherein the fibrous flock material includes monofilament flock fibers and has a fiber length of 100 μm to 3 mm. A discharge device can contain the tissue fusion agent and a surgical system can includes the tissue fusion agent or the discharge device and a tissue fusion instrument.
Abstract:
A process and system for making a laminated surface covering and the surface covering itself are described. The covering includes several layers bonded to each other. The system performs the process. One example of the process includes passing a first material across a first conveyor, passing a second material across a second conveyor, passing a bonding material across a third conveyor, contacting the first material and the second material to the bonding material, and heating at least one of the first material and the second material. The process also includes introducing the first material, the second material, and the bonding material into a pressure zone such that the bonding material is introduced between a bottom surface of the first material and a top surface of the second material. The process applies pressure to bond the first material and second material together via the bonding material to produce a laminated material.
Abstract:
Provided for example is a method of making an lined elastomeric article comprising: (I) applying to a base elastomer layer a foamed or unfoamed composite of flock fibers and aqueous elastomer, wherein (a) if the elastomer base layer polymer component is (i) not predominantly NR or (ii) not predominantly NR plus NBR, then the elastomer of the composite comprises NBR, wherein NBR and if present acrylic latex are (1) substantial in the composite or (2) predominate in the composite, and/or wherein (b) the elastomer of the composite comprises acrylic latex, NBR and, if the elastomeric base layer is not predominantly NBR, the major elastomer of the base layer.
Abstract:
The waterproof/breathable moisture transfer liner for alpine, snowboard and hiking includes an inner liner selected from technically advanced fabrics which are carefully selected. A series of layers are provided outside the inner liner including foam material and insulated nonwoven layers, breathable membranes, a supportive mesh included in a moldable foam, or moldable a spacer material and an outer shell fabric. The applicability of the liner to alpine boots, snowboard boots, cross country boots, hiking boots, protective gear, helmets, bouldering shoes, paddling apparel and gear along with appropriate variations for each application are disclosed.
Abstract:
A latex glove article with a fibrous coating bonded to the skin-contacting surface. Long length soft moisture absorbing fibers are attached to latex layer of a glove with a thin layer of polymeric latex adhesive forming a fibrous lining. The long length fibers have a length ranging from 4 to 100 times the thickness of the polymeric latex adhesive layer and therefore extend or project from the polymeric latex adhesive coating. The fibers penetrate the polymeric latex adhesive layer at one end or both end of the fiber to a depth of about 60% to about 100% of the adhesive thickness, leaving a substantial portion of the fiber available for soft contact with skin and sweat absorption. Due to the substantial thickness of the fibrous lining, an air gap is created between skin and the impervious latex layer establishing continual evaporation of absorbed sweat and evaporative cooling.
