    Abstract: In a cleaning system for cleaning hair clippings from the interior space of an electric shaver, a shaver support is provided for supporting the electric shaver during operation of the cleaning system. A pressure vessel defines a source of cleaning gas for cleaning hair clippings from the interior of the shaver and is in fluid communication with a gas delivery assembly that receives cleaning gas from the pressure vessel. The gas delivery assembly comprises at least one nozzle assembly configured and arranged for directing cleaning gas received from the pressure vessel to flow directly into the interior space of the shaver. In one embodiment the pressure vessel is cartridge that is removeable from the cleaning system for refilling or replacement.

    Abstract: By providing a shaver receiving and supporting housing which is constructed for enabling cleaning fluid to be delivered directly to the interior of a shaver in a highly efficient manner, a fully integrated shaving cleaning system is realized which is capable of providing automated cleaning of the shaver in an efficient and effective manner. In accordance with the present invention, the cleaning fluid if forced through portals formed in the shaver for enabling the fluid to be forcibly delivered directly into the hair pocket of the shaver, thereby enabling the surfaces of the hair pocket, the cutting foils, and the cutting blades to be completely and thoroughly cleaned, with the fluid draining out of the shaver through the cutting foils. In addition, the present invention is constructed for thoroughly and completely cleaning both rotary shavers and foil shavers.

A housing of the cleaning system has a shaver support for supporting the electric shaver during operation of the cleaning system. A gas delivery assembly of the cleaning system has at least one nozzle assembly configured and arranged for directing cleaning gas directly into the at least one inlet port of the electric shaver for delivery of the pressurized gas into the interior space of the shaver. In at least one embodiment, a pressure vessel supported by the cleaning system housing contains pressurized cleaning gas and supplies the gas to the at least one nozzle assembly for delivery into the interior space of the shaver.
